Best I can figure OP, They needed someone from his generation to help with that generation swallow “the pill”...Bruce was so big and such a part of the vernacular lexicon that I swear I accidentally said just the other day “way to go, Bruce Jenner!” and then quickly remembered how outdated that saying truly is... but more importantly remembered how common it really was...

Regardless... That person is now their mid 60s if I’m not mistaken and has millions of dollars at their disposal. I’ll never understand....
