It seems looking after a child who has been through trauma is pretty much what we are equipped to live with. A monkish fellow and a retired College teacher with a decent, though platonic, relationship..Seems about right. My children are all grown up...wouldn't take a baby (I deal with some of those with my friends and ex's), but a distraught 6+ year old fed well, and allowed to be free, would be sane. I have a cert for mediation. Might not seem that way on here but I spent years doing mediation. Woot! If you are not busy weaving your own magick, you are trapped in anothers spell. “It’s time you realized that you have something in you more powerful and miraculous than the things that affect you and make you dance like a puppet.” – Marcus Aurelius |

I'm just way too happy my own children are all grown up now to wish to deal with all of that trouble all over! Besides, there are MANY things that need to be taken care of on this planet to make it a better place for all. Lots of work to do. No-one can do everything, so it makes sense to focus on what you're good at and feel called to do. Taking care of stray children isn't it in my case. I just barely managed to raise my own for chrissake, my mind was always distracted from them by the things I actually wished to work on! Let's just say, trafficked children need a more devoted adoptive parent than I could ever be. If that's you, much good Karma for you, I'll sadly have to make a hard pass. For their sake and mine. |

If you had issues with your children, you are not a good candidate for taking in a broken one anyhow. Everyone will be where they need to be and do what they need to do when it all comes out. Anonymous Coward User ID: 80350411 United States 05/10/2021 09:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am one, ass clown. Lost everything for trying to be a whistle blower. Spent much of my adult life struggling to wake up out of the brain fog of mind control, reprisals and gaslighting. Got stuck in a nowhere town in the desert southwest after dropping out and running away. Ended up luckier than most in a decent place of my own with SSA after some lost years spent in the gap before I became eligible, living with a hybrid energy vampire, being mentally and emotionally abused multiple times a day. At least I was not being sexually abused any more. A good chunk of my life, after the sex trafficking (it took me years to even figure out I was being used that way) was spent being slaved in office jobs at fake companies set up to launder money of the huge human trafficking industry. I was boots on the ground witness to a lot of crazy shit. |
