Humans using 73% more resources than Earth produces
Interesting.

If the trees are cut down at a two percent rate per year, the forest would be cleared of matured trees within 25 years – and this is what experts are witnessing the our real world.

Researchers compared the biological capacity of a country to its consumption footprint, the area needed to produce the materials consumed, and found 72 percent of the population living in low-income countries used more resources that it had in 2017.

You know that "overpopulation" is a concept mostly frowned upon by most GLPers. I have since long contented that the problem has never been overpopulation but overconsumption. The idea that everyone has to consume as much as possible is what can ruin the environment, specially when the consmuption is emotion driven and not a rational process of decision making.

We have always engineered our way out of issues. It just hasn’t been profitable yet. We are not even close to having an issue the real reason is not the capacity but they worry they can’t control the sheer numbers of people especially since they can all instantly communicate with each other.

Resources is not the population issue it’s the fear of their power.

I think it's both. And the more we have in the US, the more the rest of the world wants as well which is further escalating the consumption.

Most of the US wood or paper product companies, plant one or more trees, for every tree they cut down
Other organization promote planting trees, worldwide.
Just so much BS out there.

your source is suspect. make houses out of hemp. instead of pine. do you think its suspect that you can only buy new growth pine for construction lumber and they are always saying the forest are disappearing yet there are trees to drive through.
