4th: Limit food to animal protien (eggs, beef, etc.) that is organic/pasture raised/grass fed, while she's recoving.

5th: Supplemental fresh organic veggies and fruit is fine to satisfy and sweet cravings and to help get enough fiber.

6th: Avoid sugar and any processed foods while recovering

7th: If possible in your area, get her outside in the sun for 45 min - 1 hour twice a day. The fresh air and sunlight will help her immune system.

Tussin. (Robotussin or store brand.) The kind that is just an expectorant, no cough suppressant in it. It will only have the ingredient Guaifenesin in it.
