This Marcus Aurelius quote has always rung true to me as things really haven't changed for humanity, and in many ways have gotten worse.

That's a great quote to think about before going out in this madness every day.

Stoicism is what I wish would take off in the secular world, especially where people are hesitant to embrace religious texts. It has many similarities to the wisdom books of the Bible like Proverbs and Ecclesiastes, along with Eastern wisdom (being still, in the moment, not letting things get to you).

It should be taught in Western public schools, imo.

I literally get forced to wear a stupid mask for their lie at work for approx 30 mins at my morning meetings each day, I love my job, it's a new career for me that took 3 years of training and I'm only in my 5th year now. I'm putting up with it because it's only the 30 mins, but I still feel like quitting every time I go through this. If the kill shot becomes mandatory, I'm done and will quit.

Thank God for my faith, that's what helps me get through these dark days.
