California Cops Under Fire For Tasing, Pepper-Spraying And Continually Punching Naked, Mentally Ill Man

People need to mind their own business and stop being an armchair critic. Sometimes it takes a punch or several to the face to get the suspect into custody in a timely manner.

Effectively, everyone is a criminal, first and foremost, in our society.

So, once we subdue them like the criminals they are, then someone else can figure it out, later... maybe...

Dude is on something. They pepper sprayed him and tased him. He still wouldn't comply. I don't know what else they were supposed to do? Guy is walking around naked in public. I don't see this as excessive force.

The punching was a little much.

They continued beating him after he was down. The other cops were holding him down while the one cop continued to punch him in the face.

I hope those officers were fully vaccinated (for the perpetrators sake).

He took LSD, sometimes from what I saw back in my younger days, people did some very strange things on LSD, even walking out in a road in front of cars. Flapping their arms thinking, even MJ could cause this one, they could fly, or they were birds. LSD messes with some people minds bad, they not in the same universe with others, they are some place far, far away, if they have taken too much they will be tripping for some time. Too much and they never come down.

At best, an open palm love pat to open up a submission closed fist punching should be in a life or death situation. Some people don't even advocate closed fist strikes at all! Because you risk fracturing your hand.

Personally, police officers and closed fists should be a situation where the officer or a bystander is in danger. I can assure, it's not unarmed weapon for compliance. It's for defense or assault.

I have trained in boxing, karate, Judo, Greco, Sambo, BJJ, and Muay Thai for forty years this October. I am big man. I can hit very hard. Boxing right cross, left hook. Shutos, classic reverse punch. A Wing Chun vertical fist.

Honestly, my hands can take it, most people cannot. I have paramedic, a private security professional working protective details, and bouncer. I try not to hit people.

In fact, the only time I generally resort to striking is to make an opening for a throw or takedown or setup a standing submission. Or, if there is more than one opponent.
