Trump is now working as controlled opposition for Biden. Discuss.

This is a very unpopular hypothesis, but we have to hash it out. I believe it's true, but I am open to reason and hope I am wrong. (To those who believe in Trump's best intentions, if I am right, you'd better get through to him! You won't be the first to try.)

The final straw leading me to this conclusion: the interview with Lara Trump.

It's a great interview, Trump always is. But he says that he was close to finishing up the wall and only had to fill in a few gaps that were used for moving equipment through, etc. Really?

Then why did Trump denounce the people who decided privately to close up a section of wall, with their own funds?

Why did Trump tell people he'd go from the Ellipse to the Capitol with them on Jan. 6, then not go?

Why did Trump throw out the true believers from his campaign and transition and hire in swamp for the permanent jobs?

Why did so many true believers in Trump languish in jail or under risk of prosecution, for doing what they inferred would help Trump's agenda?

Why did Trump leave the WH, slipping out in the middle of the night, and yet let people remain uncertain about it for a couple weeks afterward, at risk of doing something that seemed desperately necessary but could have been illegal -- and now you see the FBI going after anyone who got caught up in protests on Jan. 6?

Why did Trump pardon Flynn and see Flynn go on to support the narrative that there was still a plan for Trump to stay, until several weeks after he was gone? Was this propaganda a part of Flynn's conditions for the pardon he received?

You can tell I am angry. I feel betrayed. This is not a man who should lead you or me. This is a man who is very good in a role as follower, doer of a job, even the job of POTUS. He did many good things in that role. But leader of a movement? Nah, he hasn't got your back.

Leading up to Jan. 20 in the whole period after the steal, Trump kept himself as the center of attention. Everyone was pinning all hopes that Pence would do the right thing, then that Trump would stay and fight, everything was vague until the last moment, it always seemed like the best option, the only clean option -- then before we fully realized it, it was over and the chance was lost. There might have been other ways if we hadn't fixated on Trump.

Now it's the same thing over again. Trump keeps himself in the public eye, he's sucking up all the attention of what should be a very powerful anti-Biden movement. Everyone knows Biden wasn't elected, and we see the terrible things he's doing, as Kamala! cackles at us with delight. And the response? We're groomed into following Trump again.

Trump won't do a damned thing. In 2024 he'll be 78, and his airplane has been seized, he's probably in a ton of legal trouble from the vindictive Dems. He is probably doing these things to save his own ass from the ruthless legal predators who are after him. I wouldn't blame him, except he hobbles any pushback against Biden when he does it. That's trading the national interest for his personal interest, and it contradicts the oath he took in Jan. 2017.
