Strong cross wind and a very tall cargo ship...seems legit.

An interesting historical correlation. In 1925 The Prinz Valdemar got hung up in the channel to the Port of Miami. It turned sideways and capsized blocking the channel. It took over 42 days to fully clear the channel.

This was during one of the biggest building periods in our nations history and particular to Florida's Gold Coast. Building projects at the time surpassed the States population by a factor of more than 10.

Due to a problem with the rail infrastructure and the Port of Miami being shut down all construction projects and real estate deals came to a virtual halt.

To make a long story short the stop of this frenzied activity allowed all the players to take stock of the real situation and then the entire Florida real estate market collapsed.

Florida would not really expand much after that until after WW II.

This was the precursor of the Great Crash and the Great Depression.

If you have time look it up. A very interesting and little discussed area of US and Florida history.
