NURSES......IS IT TRUE THAT EVERY ONE OF YOU HAVE A GHOST STORY? | |

We had one in a house I lived in a number of years ago. Crazy stuff. Ours was a friendly ghost, though, not really a big deal. |

Some good some bad!!! You are correct! But, my experiences were never anything like you see in movies or ghost hunting shows. Can't answer for anyone else for that matter. But, i had a dream last night about an experience I once had while working on a remodel project at a hospital in FL. It was in the surgery and triage areas. I ask a friend of mine (who's a nurse here in ky) if she'd ever experienced anything like what I and my coworkers witnessed. She said it happens all the time. Lol. If so, then Why don't ghost hunters go to these hospitals? |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 79118742 United States 03/03/2021 11:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Let me explain GA Girl. Yrs ago, the co that i worked for was upgrading the entire surgery dept and triage/recovery depts at this hospital. To get the job done, we had to work after midnight until 10 AM so that we would not disrupt normal and emergency services. Basically we were running electrical conduits to each room above the existing hard ceilings. From there, we would schedule shut downs, one room at a time then demo and rework and remodel that room per tight ass schedule. So, we had different teams in different sections above the ceiling with a ground person handing up materials as we needed them. To get above each room's ceiling , there was a small access panel that had to be opened from underneath to gain access. The ceiling heights were roughly 10+ foot from the floor. When you entered it was total darkness. We wore headlamps and respirators and were feed continous fresh air. To get thru from room to room, more access panels were cut into the 2hr firewalls in order to run conduit racks from point a to b. Ok...... This one night in particular, everyone seemed to have our headlamps malfunction nearly simultaneously. Radios went out there was no way for us to talk to each other unless we got back to the ground. We did so....changing batteries and testing radio's while we were down. Odd. So, we went back up and again, radio and headlamp malfunctions. Pitch black! So again, I crawled backto the only light source which was the opened access panel. When I got there, my ground man was gone. So, i started to come down and noticed someone walking up to my ladder which was underneath me. He was an old dude wearing a hospital gown. No shoes! Clear as day! I ahd a full convo with the dude and them came down the ladder after he motioned me. Didn't feel any fear or concern. When I got to the ground, dude was gone. This exact same thing happened to all of the guys that were above the ceiling, i found out later. So, i went to the nurses station and asked the suty nurse if she let that guy in and if she'd seen my helper who had "ran off". She said my helper literally ran by her station minutes before and that the dudes name is Fred. Fred died back in the 80's and is mostly friendly. Lol. I found my helper with the other helpers outside smoking. They were scared shitless and said these people just vame out of nowhere and were watching them work. The nurse just laughed and said it was normal. Anyway...long story but im bored so....yes, it's a true story at that.... |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 72270771 United States 03/09/2021 11:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ok I’ll tell mine. I was teaching a class in a hospital to a group of employees working on a psych unit about the importance of actually doin 15min checks on suicidal people. I was talking about the importance of paying attention to the cameras and not be goofing off because it can happen quickly and told the story of a guy who ripped the hem of his hospital gown while sitting on floor and used it to strangle himself. As I finished the story the projector screen started moving up and down like crazy without anyone pushing the control. I felt chill bumps but sort of laughed nervously and said it “must be his ghost”. Everyone’s face in that class turned white, lol. |

I have been working in EMS for more than 20 years in a huge urban area, have run thousands of calls, seen ~literally~ everything under the sun ...and no ghosts. Crying nurses should stick to making Tik Tok videos. |

User ID: 80129212 United States 03/13/2021 12:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Stumbled across a ghost thread on a nurses site about ten years ago, and tend to check it every October approaching Halloween, for mood. Reading the thread actually brought me to a more secure spiritual place! Something I didn't expect. Maybe this is the thread. It is 145 pages long, and the main impression is that people are visited by loved ones from the other side, and very occasionally, something scary, in the days preceding death. Found they open the window when someone passes, in order to let the soul out of the premises easily! Like a book you can't put down... [link to allnurses.com (secure)] |

She says that every nurse that she works with and knows has a ghost story to tell. Is this true? What say you nurses on glp? Quoting: Roadkill Bill My wife has one that happen to her last year My wife is an NP in a hospital Works nights Well, when she goes on her break after she eats she likes 6o walk up and down halls around the station she at Well she works 7 days on 7 days off She had just went back to work her first night after he 7 off She's walking up and down this hall and she picked this particular one that night because the rooms wasn't been used for patients at that time As she walking back towards the nursing station she's looking at her phone texting Shr felt someone pass her, she said she kind of saw a figure but could feel the presence and the wind as this person past her Well, the hall way is dark because the rooms aren't being used There was only one other on that unit, it was the RN Well, my wife stopped at the desk and waited she assumed it was the nurse who walked by her, she assumed the nurse was just walking also seeing there wasn't any patients in that hall So, my wife waited at the desk watching down the hall for the nurse to come back so she could talk with her As she is waiting the nurse comes out of a room which is behind my wife My wife turns around and said how did you get in that room? 5he nurse looking confused said I've been on there dealing with the patient My wife said well someone just passed me as I was walking back from down the hall and I swore it had to be you She said it doesn't go any where but to a dead end, and no patients are in that hall The nurse said maybe it was someone checking something in a room So her and the nurse walked down turned the lights on. Went and checked each room and found no one Then as they went back to the desk and started talking the nurse remembered that an older lady had passed away like 3 night before in one of those rooms. The nurse said the patient wasn't hers, but the nurse who had the lady who died said the patient was really afraid of death and cried couple nights before she passed because she was afraid She was terminal and knew she was dying |
