If it is physically I can see what damage has been done. As for emotional. You eat it. Make it a part of you. You love it like a old friend. You can't be hurt by something that is a part of you. First of all when I try to inform someone of something that I believe will be a help to them, what I say to them ends up hurting them. And when I hurt someone by what I said I can feel the pain that I have caused them. Each and every time I do that it kills me a little more inside. So I'm not going to do that any more. I'm looking for better things to carry to my grave with me than regret and shame. If I sense someone is down, even a perfect stranger, a kind word or compliment is great energy. Advice framed in the positive and constructively is best. Good luck! |
