You see the thing that many aren't getting is, this really was the end of the world as we know it.

As conspiracy theorists, it's what we feared our whole lives.

But it was always a theory. It was the bumper of the car to our running dog.

Thing is, we finally caught it. And had no idea what to fucking do next.

There was before, and there is now.

I'm sure we all mourned our childhoods when we realized they were in fact over several years after the fact.

And that's how this will be. We will look back to simpler times fondly, but alas those times will never come back.

That's OK though. We are learning to live in the now. It wasn't the end of the world, just the one we knew.

So I guess it is really, a brave new world.

i agree RW. none were ready for the slow fall either. many expected DOOM to b quick. the slow burn has sapped energy.

Been getting Covid letters every couple of days.

My kid said today during lunch they got a lecture about how they need to remember that Covid still exists. As if they aren’t all worried about getting it or dragging it home to their parents.

I took a risk with my ankle. I came up with my own physical therapy routine, and was walking 2 weeks earlier than my doctor thought I would be able to.

There was a risk that I fuck up, roll my ankle, and have to start from scratch or even need surgery.

Next week I will take another risk.

Maybe I get a permanent twitch, or a blood clot and die, or my DNA gets reprogrammed to love big brother.

But maybe not.
