Our power lines are underground so it is not an issue of "downed power lines". It is not a rolling power outage either as there has been NO POWER!! I am not old, but I worry about those old, infirm or dependent on electricity to survive. I suspect there will be some who don't survive. Us too, but our home was in the 30's - inside! I saw online that some of our friends in our area still had power. The ones that has Centerpoint (like us) did not. Centerpoint customers are the ones who were without power. Our contract comes up next month. I will not be renewing with them. The way they handled this storm was terrible. I'm sure some sick and elderly even lost their lives. |
