Re: Universe 25
accept that these mice were designated a specific area. on earth there are vast corners that people have not reached and miles and miles of land never lived on. I live in a low pop area. So how does this experiment relate to me? I do not live in a city.
 Quoting: Cebeij

You're correct, it would be a phenomenon that would happen particularly in densely populated areas.
And even then it doesn't apply to every densely populated area...
I personally live in the most populated city on the european continent, and the density in my "county" is higher than paris, yet there's less violent crime than in Paris (and I'm not in an area with a particularly good reputation)
Yes i've lived in Paris, hell in France i've lived in worse places with a low population density.

And I don't think it has anything to do with alcohol consumption (nor religion) as there's a shitton of alcoholics here (and the reality is a lot less people who practice their given religion than one would expect)...

I don't think it's to do with illegal immigrants, there's loads of syrians here (though they do probably commit a majority of the crimes overall here).

Even during the "Pandemic" there was never a lack of food to buy, nothing was missing here, so it's not access to food.

The one different thing here though compared to Paris for example, is the abundance of restaurants and shops in general, and the lower cost of living (for a metropolitan area)

Yes I've thought about "universe 25" a lot especially since I moved to Istanbul, and was trying to understand why people live "more in Harmony" here (don't get me wrong it's far from a "Hamony Utopia" lol lot's and lot's of angry people and dickheads)
 Quoting: IwasHere4theCoronaScare

More in Harmony ?, maybe the stress from social interaction is low or even absent, which causes the disturbances in behaviour and thus the enabling of the kill switch.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80043511

Yes harmony isn't a great word it's the only one I could come up with.
Yes that would be correct, It's simple people just ignore each other and stay in small groups of maybe 5 people max.

Another thing that is different would be Male and Female dynamics, the men here don't really have any pride (when it comes to interaction with females) and don't mind rejection, even though men are raised like little kings in this culture

They basically just ask if the woman wants to sleep with them, the women say no, they will try and insist a little, even offer money, and then just walk away if the woman says no again.

Though the major violent crime here is most likely spouse killing (men more than females, but females do still do it). They only acquire that pride when they get married.

But you can walk around in the middle of the night here and not be bothered (population density of my county is 3 times higher than NYC)

People only get into arguments while driving, but it very rarely goes into road rage mode.
 Quoting: IwasHere4theCoronaScare

Very good indeed. But, the factors that could turn upside down the "Harmony" are in low density or just absent, that is why.

If the conditions change, then a kill switch will be activated and only the stronger will survive, which are also smarter as well.

Re: Universe 25
Behavioral sink

"Behavioral sink" is a term invented by ethologist John B. Calhoun to describe a collapse in behavior which can result from overcrowding. The term and concept derive from a series of over-population experiments Calhoun conducted on Norway rats between 1958 and 1962.[1] In the experiments, Calhoun and his researchers created a series of "rat utopias" – enclosed spaces in which rats were given unlimited access to food and water, enabling unfettered population growth. Calhoun coined the term "behavioral sink" in his February 1, 1962 report in an article titled "Population Density and Social Pathology" in Scientific American[2] on the rat experiment.[3] He would later perform similar experiments on mice, from 1968 to 1972.

Calhoun's work became used as an animal model of societal collapse, and his study has become a touchstone of urban sociology and psychology in general.[4]

In the 1962 study, Calhoun described the behavior as follows:

Many [female rats] were unable to carry pregnancy to full term or to survive delivery of their litters if they did. An even greater number, after successfully giving birth, fell short in their maternal functions. Among the males the behavior disturbances ranged from sexual deviation to cannibalism and from frenetic overactivity to a pathological withdrawal from which individuals would emerge to eat, drink and move about only when other members of the community were asleep. The social organization of the animals showed equal disruption. ...

The common source of these disturbances became most dramatically apparent in the populations of our first series of three experiments, in which we observed the development of what we called a behavioral sink. The animals would crowd together in greatest number in one of the four interconnecting pens in which the colony was maintained. As many as 60 of the 80 rats in each experimental population would assemble in one pen during periods of feeding. Individual rats would rarely eat except in the company of other rats. As a result extreme population densities developed in the pen adopted for eating, leaving the others with sparse populations.

In the experiments in which the behavioral sink developed, infant mortality ran as high as 96 percent among the most disoriented groups in the population.[5]

Calhoun retired from NIMH (National Institute of Mental Health) in 1984, but continued to work on his research results until his death on September 7, 1995.[6]

The experiments

Calhoun's early experiments with rats were carried out on farmland at Rockville, Maryland, starting in 1947.[7]

While Calhoun was working at NIMH (National Institute of Mental Health) in 1954, he began numerous experiments with rats and mice. During his first tests, he placed around 32 to 56 rodents in a 10 x 14-foot case in a barn in Montgomery County. He separated the space into four rooms. Every room was specifically created to support a dozen matured brown Norwegian rats. Rats could maneuver between the rooms by using the ramps. Since Calhoun provided unlimited resources, such as water, food, and also protection from predators as well as from disease and weather, the rats were said to be in "rat utopia" or "mouse paradise", another psychologist explained.[8]

Following his earlier experiments with rats, Calhoun would later create his "Mortality-Inhibiting Environment for Mice" in 1972: a 101-inch square cage for mice with food and water replenished to support any increase in population,[9] which took his experimental approach to its limits. In his most famous experiment in the series, "Universe 25", population peaked at 2,200 mice and thereafter exhibited a variety of abnormal, often destructive behaviors. By the 600th day, the population was on its way to extinction.[7]

Applicability to humans

Controversy exists over the implications of the experiment. Psychologist Jonathan Freedman's experiment recruited high school and university students to carry out a series of experiments that measured the effects of density on behavior. He measured their stress, discomfort, aggression, competitiveness, and general unpleasantness. He declared to have found no appreciable negative effects in 1975. Researchers argued that "Calhoun's work was not simply about density in a physical sense, as number of individuals-per-square-unit-area, but was about degrees of social interaction."[13]

Sounds like we're currently like these rats in the maze / cage.

Hierarchy, wretches, attacking the group, male's psyches collapse, females refuse to protect themselves and aggression toward young leading to more aggressive behavior, low birth rate, increased mortality, beautiful rats, refuse to mate and / or protect their "space," juvenile mortality reaches 100%, reproduction reaches zero, homosexuality, cannibalism, and collapse of society.

Can you see the parallels???

There is no need to watch any video.

People are behaving like mice at the moment, the trigger was pressed a year ago and suddenly mostly all, behave as mice. It is truly fascinating to watch such behavior pattern en mass to be followed, regardless of the social position, education, part of the World.

A nature kill switch has been activated. But that was expected to a point. Wandering back in time, before the virus appearance, remembered how people were heading towards complete destruction through their actions and the sensation of total absence of hope, for changing that from within.
Thankfully the virus appeared, cause only through those that brought the World in this position, a positive change of route could be possible. And now we face that point of change. But again, this mass kill switch is really something hilarious to watch, how people en mass can be so easily controlled from within and still believe that they have some sort of control over their lives, whilst bringing closer the end for all.

In short, depopulation cannot be avoided, and it will come naturally. Pessimistic approach, but it is actually positive. Positive, because it is all a matter of choices, you either get in line with your existence or you are being driven by the way of life that is broadcasted to all and forget to Mens sana in corpore sano. That, can only give you a seat inside the mouse utopia.

It's just like this fake MASK wearing bullshit.

If a virus can penetrate those masks, why fucking wear them?

It's social conditioning.

But I refuse to wear a mask at home, in my vehicle, or outside. The only reason I put one on is to SILENCE the bullshit from FAKE-WOKE people. I'd rather put a mask on so I can conduct business w/out the bullshit attitudes.

I'd rather just tell people to FUCK OFF.

It's nonsensical in my state.

The STATE declaration is if you cannot social distance the six feet between people, then a mask is required.

But those elite WALMART idiots REQUIRE it to enter any store...

I'm just about ready to say fuck it and tell them I cannot wear one due to health concerns.

I CAN'T FUCKING BREATHE -- GET YOUR BOOT OFF MY NECK.

If it stopped the damned virus we would not still be in a PANDEMIC now would we?

It's bullshit voodoo public indoctrination to the extreme.

If it's not a damned mask, it's taking some spurious vaccine that does who knows what, which is bullshit too.

They can stick their mask requirement and vaccine bullshit up their asses as far as I'm concerned.

I've never seen a more contrived social / medical experiment in my life and every day we put up with it, the more contrived it gets -- if they cannot figure-out things by now, their motives are highly questionable.

And we are all fools if we don't start demanding answers.

Personally, have the mask in the pocket, wear it inside stores, or when lots of people are close, not for the virus, but out of respect, not for the law but for respecting the choices that en mass people decided to follow for various reasons.
Have not been stopped by any authority for not wearing mask, but have crossed roads a lot of times with authorities that came enough close and could put a fine if they wanted.

What I saw when this "pandemic" started, was they shut down all normal businesses and restaurants but the FAST FOOD FUCKING DRIVE-THRUS never were shuttered. They increased the service. Oh the drive-thru fast food places are SAFE. How do they know that?

It's bullshit. They put everyone out of business that wasn't a damned chain. You didn't see McDonalds or Sonic stop serving their food did you? Hell no they didn't. They even reduced their menu items as to give customers a very limited choice. And they ate it up.

That was the first thing I notice.

The second thing was the hospitals putting people w/out a COVID-19 diagnosis in semi-private rooms to make more money. Pack them in like sardines. But where are the COVID-19 diagnosed people? Locked away in some ward in the basement or on the roof? Where the fuck are those people? They sure weren't anywhere to be seen.

Regarding your previous comment, there is no reason to feel manipulated, change perspective, see it as giving respect to the choices that en mass, by people, were decided. You can just take out the mask when there is no sense on wearing one, whilst all the rest wear it so to feel safe in their Utopia land that they have created by the delusion that is being built for them, from the weak minds that are in power.

They will end up screwing themselves -- with this genetic manipulated pandemic.

Some / the majority of those who don't die from SARS-CoV-2 just think they have allergies or a head-cold...

Then they try to have babies and ooops... LOW TESTOSTERONE for men and early menopause for women. Can't have kids can you?

That's the real reason those elites don't want to be infected, because they already knew what the damned virus would do.

There is a gene called TMPRSS4 and a variant of this gene is less than 1% frequency in the entire world's population.

They don't even know this group exists. But it plays a HUGE role in this damned pandemic.

Do the research. You'll see.

Re: Universe 25
...

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80043511

IMO the major difference, is that Turkey has a "semi-totalitarian" government... Meaning you can say pretty much anything live on TV as long as it's not against the ruling party...

But here is also definitely more capitalist than the US or anywhere in Europe, opening a company to do what you know how to do here is very easy not costly and there's little government regulation, or intervention, which course has its downside, some products can't be sold in certain parts of the world due to stricter regulations in said countries.

Paying large amounts in cash here is very common (to dodge taxes), though the downside to that is high taxes on imported products that could have been made in Turkey (import taxes on some cars in Turkey is + 200%) due to tax fraud, which on a side note is purposefully ignored.

And for sure things will become radically different when a socialist government gets in, which absolutely will happen, and quite soon.

TBH I thought that living here was going to be a nightmare, but I said what the hell, let's give it a go, as i've lived in a few different countries, but really it's not as bad as one would think, and not being religious here, which was the aspect that worried me the most, poses absolutely no problem whatsoever. Of course I wouldn't live in Saudi Arabia for any money in the world, and most here wouldn't either
