Anonymous Coward User ID: 79977867 Romania 01/31/2021 10:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I own a considerable amount of physical silver. I bought most of it back in 08 from a bullion dealer in OK city. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78767952 For sake of argument let's say that silver goes $1,000 an oz. I'm sitting on over $10 million in physical then. I personally don't want to ship my silver back by FedEx or UPS though I understand people ship valuables worth more than that everyday by them, I can get insurance, etc... Now I'm a Lifetime Platinum member and have Concierge service with this bullion company. I plan on calling them tomorrow to get an answer to my question Ok city is 6 hours away. I can easily drive the distance but here is the question: Will they allow people to physically deliver their silver or will they only receive it by a shipping company? You can sell it back to any company. If one is close to you will you drive it yourself or trust the shipping companies? Don't worry will not be 1000. Silver was historically 8-9 times cheaper than gold so you can expect around that value. |

Look at the number of times a carrier has "lost" items. For a 6 hour drive, I would certainly NOT trust this to a carrier. Insurance or not... Besides - If you put 10M in insurance, that's guarantying it WON'T make the 6 hour trip. Raintown |

You can sell it back to any company. If one is close to you will you drive it yourself or trust the shipping companies? If you can't or don't want to sell your physical silver, you can hedge it with futures. Let's say it did go to $1000/oz. You could enter a short futures contract to offset the loss as the value comes back down. The same way a cattle rancher would use futures to hedge the price on his herd of cattle. Each futures contract in silver controls 5000 oz. So if you had 10000 oz of silver then you would sell 2 futures contracts to hedge the value. Here is a description of the hedging for cattle: [link to www.cmegroup.com (secure)] The downside is there would be a risk of entering the short hedge too early and have to cover margin requirements as the price continued to increase. I suspect you'll be able to give it to a Government redemption center and get DOLLAR silver bank notes back. Or trade it for GOLD US DOLLAR notes. They'll be happy to help you. SOON. |

You mean the value-less currency that this is all heading toward? This is a ploy by the deep state to crash the USD. This has nothing to do with kids on Reddit. You all really think they have access to the kind of millions (billions) of dollars needed for what they did to GME, AMC, others? If you believe that, then you deserve what you get. All these 'fuck the rich' types I keep seeing on social media, GLP, elsewhere, you're playing right into their hands. You're literally supporting the destruction of your own currency and economy, while you simultaneously say you hate the people you're cheering. Amazing. |

Maybe a small amount if you are really in need for some cash, but i wouldnt sell my physical anytime soon. Quoting: Ostria1 Me neither. If there is a project that can be funded...run with it and sell some. But silver is not an investment for quick and easy money. Buy a house? Sure...
