I hope this isn't really the final chapter. I hope we turn that proverbial corner and look for common goals rather than divisions.
( For Jazzy, no-till farming can be super productive, is a lot less work, and requires no real weeding ;) )

I refuse to participate as much as possible. I buy very little - hence the gardening reference. I did home school my children. I taught them to think. We don't own a television and I haven't since well before they were born. They don't always agree with me and that's okay. I'm always learning too.

The media IS so divisive. Back when I was in school a teacher pointed out that when you point a finger at someone, there are 3 fingers pointing back at yourself. Rather than listening to media's accusations of what the other side ( what was it Rumi said about that? Oh yeah " There is no other.") wants/thinks/believes, how about asking your neighbor what they want/ think/ believe and find commonality to work on together?

One of the greatest ironies I keep seeing is how my friends who decried Bernie's ' socialism' are scrambling to take advantage of PPP loans and unemployment income. Why shouldn't our society evolve to a point where there is a decent standard of living for all, rather than a constant funneling of wealth to the billionaire class ON BOTH SIDES.

Stop fighting over that proverbial measly cookie y'all. Buy less of their stuff, whether it is divisive rhetoric, designer clothes, industrial food (don't even get me started on monopolization of basic necessities), or conspicuous consumption.

Be kind to one another(if you claim a religion, this is something they ALL preach. Follow it ffs.) Teach your children to be kind. Take care of yourselves. Share with neighbors who need help, whether they are sick, elderly, or poor. The govt is not working in our best interest to create the society that most of us envision.

Love you dear Mezzo. I know how you work towards making this world better every day. Know that your efforts are seen and appreciated and that your light and energy is shining brightly. People have only to open their hearts and minds to truly understand.
