The map by PRECINCT actually shows the REAL picture. And New Jersey and California actually went to Trump if only votes from live , actual voters that resided in the States counted. Trump won 40 of 50 States with the exception of New York. He lost New York mainly due to NYC. |

If you guys out in Montana feel "disenfranchised", "cheated", etc ... Imagine how 1.8 million people feel not being able to wring out a single vote for our guy versus your 5 states getting 16. "Move to a red state" is not the solution to this problem, obviously that matters naught and would only hurt things, and neither is throwing out the electoral college. Them throwing out the electoral college is a REAL possibility in the next 4 years. You know what I saw in the fall? I saw a bunch of traditional democrats ... not rich white people ... around me going full on Trump. What is the solution here? No idea. Damned if we do, damned if we don't. But there are more Trump supporters in New Jersey than in those 5 states combined. We can't have it both ways. No one can. My suggestion is that we stop all the "blue state bad" rhetoric. It's my pet peeve, admittedly. But you guys don't really understand that people who live in more urban situations still want the same things as you. We got a glimpse of that in November - too late - when the black people started realizing it. Stop shitting on the people on the coasts - they largely pay the bills - they are your allies. But ultimately they are each only one vote. This election was closer in the blue states than any time since Reagan. It would be a huge waste not to keep going in places like NJ, NY and PA. Pounding it home. Phil Murphy is a Marxist asshole. |

Graham, who I actually respected quite a bit for his tenacious defense of the President after the rats jumped ship ... use the term "blue state bailouts". My blood boils when I hear those words! That's a topic for another thread, but it reminded me to bump this one. Don't fall for the "blue state bad" propaganda. That's as bad if not worse than the "Orange man bad" nonsense. Let's start by admitting ALL elections are automatically rigged just by the insane jerrymandering alone, and that politicians only point that out when it negatively impacts THEM. Nevermind Georgia and Arizona ... if you want to affect REAL change ... focus on the jerrymandering and campaign finance reform, conservatives. We know the dems won't. Regardless of party lines and geographical lines, Trump targeted the bulkiest voting population in this country - working, America-loving taxpayers - and he did something "they" all said would never happen. Think back to when there were 18 Republicans vying for the nomination and Jeb was the presumptive favorite. Remember what they said about Trump ... how that would NEVER happen. Even his buddies. Wasn't it the Northeast governor Christie who broke first? And Rudy? While Graham was still saying it would never happen. And while Jeb and Mitt actually tried to prevent it from happening. That's the power of populism. Pitchforks and whatnot. There are way more pitchforks in New Jersey than in South Dakota. I still don't know how to harness that within the current system, but stupid redneck gay politicians shitting on "Blue States" certainly ain't it. Maybe we can be more creative this next round.
