The 2nd Epistle of Peter contains one of the most important Prophecies in the Bible, one that identifies our days as the Last Days
Here is the prophecy:

"Know this first of all, that in the last days scoffers will come to scoff, living according to their own desires

and saying, 'Where is the promise of his coming? From the time when our ancestors fell asleep, everything has remained as it was from the beginning of creation.'

They deliberately ignore the fact that the heavens existed of old and earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God;

through these the world that then existed was destroyed, deluged with water.

The present heavens and earth have been reserved by the same word for fire, kept for the day of judgment and of destruction of the godless.

But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like one day.

The Lord does not delay his promise, as some regard 'delay,' but he is patient with you, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a mighty roar and the elements will be dissolved by fire, and the earth and everything done on it will be found out.". 2 Peter 3: 3-10

This prophecy identifies the reigning Heresy of the Last Days with the reigning Heresy of our own present times, summed up in the verse: 'From the time when our ancestors fell asleep, everything has remained as it was from the beginning of creation."

This is the Heresy of Evolution and Our Lord knew it would be so destructive and effective at achieving Ataraxia that He gave Peter this prophecy thousands of years beforehand in order to warn us and prepare us for its emergence in our own days. The prophecy states that in the Last days scoffers (think Richard Dawkins and his ilk) will come mocking the Word in Genesis and saying that Nature has always been the same since the beginning of Creation. But this is a lie from the pit of Hell. Nature has not been the same since the beginning of Creation. The Natural processes that scientists study today cannot be extrapolated back to the beginning of Creation. The Earth (and Universe) is not millions of years old.

On the contrary, the Fiat (aka Supernatural) Creation of the entire material universe and of all of the different kinds of creatures for man at the beginning of time less than ten thousand years ago constitutes the common doctrine of all of the Fathers of the Church from the time of the Apostles in their authoritative teaching. The Early Church held that the Fiat creation of all things at the beginning of time less than ten thousand years ago was an indisputable fact contained in Divine Revelation and one that had to be maintained in the face of the scorn of the Graeco-Roman intellectual elite, most of whom believed in some form of evolution over long ages and who heaped scorn on the Church Fathers. The Fathers of the Church rejected these long-age evolutionary phantasies as illogical, absurd, and totally contradictory to God’s revelation to Moses in the sacred history of Genesis and Saint Peter in his 2nd Epistle identifies the reemergence of this ancient Heresy with the Last Days.

The Fathers taught that, contrary to the Evolution Heresy, things have not always been the same from the beginning of Creation. They taught that the entire work of Creation, in the beginning, was Supernatural and when God finished creating Adam body and soul, and Eve from Adam's side, He stopped creating new kinds of creatures, the work of Creation was finished and only then did the Natural order (the Order of Providence) begin. Of course, when the original sin took place the entire Natural Order was changed and made subject to a bondage to Decay. This means that according to the Early Church Fathers, it is impossible to study the world as it exists today and extrapolate to the beginning to determine how the World came to be.

Saint Peter says that modern Scoffers will ignore two facts, not just one. The first is that it was through God's supernatural Word, not any Natural process, that the World came into existence. Secondly, these Scoffers will ignore the fact that there was a Divine Judgment on the World at the time of Noah that totally destroyed the face of the Earth such that Saint Peter says that the World that then was perished totally in the Deluge: "the world that then existed was destroyed, deluged with water." So we can't even look at the Earth today and understand what it looked like before the Deluge.

Here is the prophecy:
 Quoting: Father of the Poor

2 Pe 3:4
and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”

Isaiah 63:11
Then His people remembered the days of old, the days of Moses. Where is He who brought them through the sea with the shepherds of His flock? Where is the One who set His Holy Spirit among them,

How many generations of bibletarded, mouthbreathing adherents of the christ myth propagated the end times, using this nonsensical epistle? Please, get real. You are seeing the collapse of the American Shitshow. It has been unraveling since Nixon took any rational restraint off the money supply and left little boundary on political and corporate rackets. The elements will melt with fire.

That is how the Earth as we know it and mankind will meet their end.

All the cities and creation of mankind will melt in the fire.

It will be as we never existed.

THEN comes the afterlife Judgement to see who gets to live forever in Heaven.

Yep... Peter and Paul KNEW what was coming.

Paul said many things about the last days too.

He predicted people would worship the creation rather than the creator.

And his descriptions of the perilous times that would come in the last days were spot on.

If your bible was honest.. you would not need to post this... Jesus clearly taught that this time would be in 2000 years.. So BE IT..

The reason IS the cosmic energies were are in that was KNOWN back then.. and if you actually KNEW who Jesus was and IS... you could accept WHY HE KNEW

Your name is not written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

You have no hope and your life will be as if it had never been.

However, you will be a believer after it's too late.

Your knee will bow, and your tongue will confess that Yeshua Hamashiach is Lord.

Remember these words when the time comes. And come, it will.

And then, there will be intense weeping, and sorrowful gnashing of teeth.

So it is written. So it will be done.

Your tetraheaded christer bullshit is not relevant to what is and will happen. Go wait for jeebus to come down on a cloud of glory with a unicorn, biggie, and tupac.o

Two thousand years from the time of the crucifixion (30-33 a.d.) approximately brings us to about 2030.

Two thousand years = two "days"

After 2030 or so...the "third day".

Christ rose by the dawn of the THIRD DAY.

Hey OP, you would love love love this book:

[link to www.amazon.com (secure)]

I'm several chapters in. Very readable and the guy was an oil geologist by profession and the science for the global flood and rock layers and all the rest is beautifully laid out. Worth the price.

Excellent post by the way.

I don't think the devil knows. Jesus said no one knows the hour or the day. I think it's more a case of the devil planting evil seeds.

did anyone else pick up that Noah and his three sons (Shem, Ham, and Japheth,) equal four?
and that there are four horseman at the end of days?

if God did in fact destroy all men but these four,(which i believe God did)
t would make sense as to why there are only 4 horseman and the rest of the are of animal spirit..

Christ the lamb,
devil the snake,
Nebuchadnezzar an ox,
the judge a lion
Jeremiah a bullfrog...

even though we are incarnated to being man, (second death)
we are not of man spirit.

the four horseman, are of man spirit...

and are to be feared.

as all beasts are to fear men.

It's been the "Last days" for most of my life. Don't expect much anymore.
 Quoting: JohnnyMullet

How old are you? Let me guess, say 30. What is 30 as a percentage of 2000 years? 1.5%.

That's not a lot considering. God's patient but He won't wait around forever, and there comes a point where God knows the last person to believe has chosen to put their faith in Christ.

That begins the end. And you really don't want to be around when that happens. Think the troubles of 2020 multiplied by 10,000

Re: The 2nd Epistle of Peter contains one of the most important Prophecies in the Bible, one that identifies our days as the Last Days
Here is the prophecy:

"Know this first of all, that in the last days scoffers will come to scoff, living according to their own desires

and saying, 'Where is the promise of his coming? From the time when our ancestors fell asleep, everything has remained as it was from the beginning of creation.'

They deliberately ignore the fact that the heavens existed of old and earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God;

through these the world that then existed was destroyed, deluged with water.

The reason IS the cosmic energies were are in that was KNOWN back then.. and if you actually KNEW who Jesus was and IS... you could accept WHY HE KNEW

Almost there...

Daniel 2:43
"And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay."

The elements will melt with fire.

That is how the Earth as we know it and mankind will meet their end.

All the cities and creation of mankind will melt in the fire.

It will be as we never existed.

THEN comes the afterlife Judgement to see who gets to live forever in Heaven.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78636663

The entire physical universe will be dissolved/
Every atom, every quark, every electron.

Jesus will then create a New Heaven and New Earth
which will be ETERNAL.

He says, BEHOLD! I MAKE ALL THINGS NEW!

This universe and everything in it,
WILL BE REMEMBERED NO MORE.

God wants EVERYONE to inherit that,
but MOST refuse the offer.
