Same thing going on here in ireland . When i start feeding them FACTS that disrupt their mindset they become aggressive . These people want to be part of the drama , to be seen and heard as acting well and damn those that do not fall into line . They like being told what to do and believe by doing that they are somehow good citizens playing their great role in saving the human race . When people finally realise what is really going on it will be a shift into denial and full blown hysteria .

It's a sad reality, but if/when TSHTF, be prepared to dump their asses and save yourself....some people are just beyond redemption.

They also sound like the type that would rat you out to "authorities" if you had a different opinion or didn't wear your mask 24x7 even when in your own home.

If you guys across the pond would like to see what mindless adaptation looks like, come to my country. The Netherlands.

So, right at the start of this COVID thing (we Dutchies call it Corona Crisis which sounds less severe than COVID I suppose, dunno) there was a sense of a collective vacation where people would stay home, come together (imagine that), go out on the streets in masses (to witness the Apocalypse I guess) and fill their shopping carts with toilet paper. TP is STILL in short supply at supermarkets.
NOTE: In my country there was never an atmosphere of fear though. There still isn't. I must admit though that more people are starting to personally know someone who actually contracted COVID including myself.

The last couple of months something has changed. People are blindly accepting the governments 'guidelines' of mask wearing (which from December on will be MANDATORY to wear in ALL public spaces), social distancing (well sort of) and working from home (only 1% of the workforce is actually doing that, government workers mostly) and stay indoors as much as possible (a concept quickly dropped as soon as the weekend starts).

Masks in all sorts and sizes are on the shelves of supermarkets. People are wearing them (old and young) all the time: In cars, on bicycles, while jogging (I kid you not!), while shopping, while walking the dog.......
Even young kids as young as ,say, 10 years old are wearing masks will "cool designs" to look cool or 'gangster' as one told me after asking why the hell he was wearing one of those.

The new normal has been accepted at large without a fight or way word in exchange of ALL characteristics which makes up OUR (national) society.

Just like that, seemingly over night.

They sure do. You guys are spot on. Here's what I think.

Reasons:

1. Stupidity and faith in their government

2. Being a part of something bigger. They'll never be famous but here's a chance to latch on with all of the talking heads in media, sports and entertainment. They're part of the in-crowd they believe.

3. Power & control. Some people love it. Even if it means killing your neighbor. See: every dictatorship ever.

4. Lack of faith in God. These people seem to not have come to terms with, when God wants you, he'll take you. Whether you're 5 or 85. They think they'll live forever.

Most people are pathetic losers with no constitution and crave being told what to do.

Smart people get excited when they prevent harm to others.

Dumb people get angry when there is no perceived explanation for that.

I have cut off someone because they were so pro lockdown.

I say shun people from your life if they don't give a shit about the bigger picture.
