Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77387819 OP is right, have they told you that the Electors per the constitution don't have to vote for their party colors? means they can betray their party that won the state wo consequences And this has happened when? |

Some don't allow them, but there have been very few in the history of the country. In the vast majority of cases, they vote with their states' popular majority. The reason for this is due to how electors are chosen. Each party on the ballot chooses their own electors, typically party loyalists. The party that wins a state's majority presidential vote sends it's partisan electors. That's why faithless voters are rare. |

Rutherford B. Hayes (1876) Benjamin Harrison (1888) George W. Bush (2000) Donald Trump (2016) you people are so delusional that think the 2016 can't happen, repeat itself then you'll scream voter fraud once Biden is Selected |

The electoral vote is dependent upon the outcome of the individual elections in each state. Trump won 30 states in 2016, worth a majority of the available electoral votes. That's why he won the presidency, legitimately and as designed by the framers of the Constitution. |
