Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75402320 The Finnish officials are actually admitting that Covid-19 is NOT as deadly as they thought? Why aren't the Finns who lost their business/job to all the scaremongering already rioting? Now, what would that achieve? Quintessentially Finnish... |

They just sit back ponder and wait like a cat. I could hand a Finn a check for $1,000,000 and the only reaction I may get would be "Oh, guess I have to go to the bank" stated in a monotone voice. They are the least excitable people. Good for a crisis. |

Victorian government wants to start detaining "high-risk spreaders" and Dr. Fauci says the lockdowns will continue until 2021 even with the vaccine. Meanwhile, the Finns are sitting back and saying "Oh well, it's not so bad after all. Just carry on what you're doing and we'll be fine." |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78048685 [link to www.is.fi (secure)] In short, the director of health security at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (governmental health authority), Prof. Mika Salminen, issued a statement that Covid-19 is not as deadly as it was feared in the spring. "In the spring, it looked like the people who got Covid-19 also got severely ill. That is not how it looks like to us anymore. I also spoke with my Spanish colleagues. In the spring, 47% of Covid-19 patients required hospitalization. Now it's just 4%." While the number of Covid-19 positive tests in Finland has been increasing for some time, the number of hospitalizations and deaths remains very low. He attributes the decrease in lethality to improved understanding of the disease, better testing and diagnostics, as well as advances in treatment. "People are also getting better at taking proper precautions." He adds that he doesn't want to belittle the gravity of the disease in the case of elder people. Longer summer days protect everybody with lots of vit D..... wait till the dark winter and no sun.....covid will be back unless you supplement with vit D. |

If Dr. Salminen had said that Covid-19 is a serious threat, the media would be hyping it to no end. This positive news was reported by one major paper only. |

[link to thl.fi (secure)] A total of 339 people have died of causes attributed to Covid-19. The definition for a Covid-19 death is as follows: "It is estimated that COVID-19 has been involved in the chain of events leading to the death, if the patient has died within one month of testing positive." So, if the immediate cause of death was a heart attack but the patient has been tested positive for Covid-19 within a month, the death will be attributed to Covid-19. |

It is near-impossible to give an exact cause of death anyway. If someone dies of a heart attack, do you attribute it to a fault in heart's electrical circuit, blocked veins, vagus-nerve or something else. Cause of death is always more or less a guess. |

Limit available testing. This artificially INCREASES the death rate. 2. Once they scared us shitless with the death numbers, then and only then did they make tests available to the public. 3. Once that happened, there were no more flu deaths to record as covid deaths so they jumped on board by scaring people silly with testing numbers. More tests equals DECREASE death rate. This man admits none of that. He won’t give up the ruse |
