All evacuation orders, evacuation warnings and road closures being lifted ... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78759709 They are going to be concerned with keeping the fire away from Los Angeles but the 3 dams the fire is encroaching are going to be at risk. You might be talking about a different fire. This one is in San Diego. ValleyFire. If it is very new - #BobCatFire.. Northeast of Cogswell Reservoir, San Gabriel Canyon in Los Angeles County is 150 acres. or it might be the #ElDoradoFire - Oak Glen Rd Road and Potato Canyon Road, West of Oak Glen in San Bernardino County is 3,010 acres and 5% contained. or maybe the #CZULightningComplex (Includes the Waddell Fire, Warrenella Fire 5-14 Fire, 5-15 Fire, & 5-18 Fire) in various locations across San Mateo & Santa Cruz Counties is 86,509 acres and 68% contained. You can check CalFire for updates on all. [link to twitter.com (secure)] Oh I see, yes it is the Bobcat fire. Cogswell Reservoir and San Gabriel Dam are both at risk there. There are a so many fires right now and it's not even halfway through the season. Yeah, this crazy heatwave isn't helping. 121 at my brothers house in woodland hills. Concerning that this could be the new normal. Unless the mini ice age starts. |

Man I hope not. lol.. Bring on the ice age, my cooler ice has melted! Some Uncle intel.. it's possible due to the fire and not rolling blackouts that 3,000,000 in San Diego will lose power tonight. That would pretty much be all of San Diego. Definitely not official information. But.. if you look at the picture on the right.. hmmm https://twitter.com/_/status/1302693306980118528 [link to twitter.com (secure)] |

Can always put more clothes on to stay warm but can only take so much off to keep cool. Especially without electricity. And while it takes a lot to cause for those electrical towers to buckle , sustained flames and being so hot as it is , definitely is at risk. The hubs and relay stations nearby at ground level most certainly too. |

I thought it was a smaller provider that was threatened. |

Tomorrow the Santa Ana winds come.. ugh. https://twitter.com/_/status/1303057255143600128 [link to twitter.com (secure)] First and foremost thank you for keeping us up to date.I have family in Lakeside which I believe is northeast of where you are. They lost everything in the Cedar fire and have mostly rebuilt. In my last contact with them yesterday the main point of concern is the Santa Ana winds. It is my understanding that Santa Ana winds typically blow from east to west. Is that correct? They said that the Santa Ana winds is what did them in during the Cedar fire. Now I can't reach them and I'm wondering if they are preparing to evacuate. I'm going nuts with worry. Is the Santa Ana prediction for tomorrow pretty certain? I'm sure my family members are aware of it. I just wish I could reach them. Please stay safe OP and thanks again for taking the time to post this thread. |
