Well it is not the end of the world, but a lot of events are happening on the 21st.

The article (and the math used) equates to just about exactly 8 years difference- so it should in fact be on or around Dec. 21st 2020- the Winter Solstice... the shortest day of the year.

And as chance would have it, there is an ever more rare astrological event on this day- the great conjunction- where Saturn and Jupiter align, which occurs about once ever 20 years- this year it will be only 0.1 deg. of separation... the closest since the 1600's.

Which is pretty amazing that there are rare sky events on both the the shortest and longest days of the year this year...
