After testing they decided she had strep throat. Allergies are bad this year which irritate the membranes. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78576184 Canada 03/28/2020 08:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm trying to get a strep test (without walking into a clinic and getting sicker from people there), I've had it a few times in a my life and am quite certain I have it. Quoting: SeaLass34 There are a few bizarre things here: other than walking/jogging along the beach daily (NO ONE around me), I have been staying home (work from home for the last couple years). Husband and daughter who live with me have no symptoms (yet). My son, a Marine stationed around San Diego, got Strep throat less than a week ago. I'm north of Seattle, and haven't seen him in a couple months. I'm normally super healthy (as is he), and really surprised to wake up with: - swollen, red tonsils with white dots - hard to swallow, - headache, - very slight fever ..... no other real symptoms. Can breathe and hold my breathe just fine. I just feel like the timing is so weird- to get this out of the blue, when I'm not around anyone, not going out of the house except for fresh air and Vitamin D, haven't been sick in a long time, and for my son to get it out of the blue too. -> I wanted to get a feel for any other GLPers who have or have had this recently, is this going around? <- I haven't heard of anyone having it (in my circle) for at least a year, maybe 2. You’re highly contagious you and your boy. You may even have the corona! |

I used to get pollen allergies every spring, until I took Royal Jelly and Bee Pollen 2-3x a day for 3 weeks. I do this about every 3-4 years, and the allergies stay away. When I get symptoms again I repeat. I've helped my son and Father heal their spring allergies the same way, works very well. This is definitely NOT allergies, I'm quite certain it is strep. I'm curious how much this is going around. When the student is ready, the teacher appears. |

You’re highly contagious you and your boy. You may even have the corona! Definitely- Strep is very contagious. My son got on antibiotics immediately (SUCKS but necessary with Strep), and I need to do the same thing- I'm trying to figure out the best way to get them. So many local clinics are closed right now, with their doctors at the big hospitals helping with Covid. I'm doing Linus Pauling's bowel tolerance vitamin C protocol, 15000iu Vitamin D3, probiotics, raw garlic crushed and consumed with raw honey among other things.... but I don't want to pass this around and probably have to do a round of antibiotics. Normally I would use a tele-medicine app like HeyDoctor, but they are so far behind right now with all the Covid stuff, I don't know how long the response time will be. Hopefully they can help me, I'm waiting. When the student is ready, the teacher appears. |

It could be many different things. Strep is a specific form of bacteria. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73564716 stay away from anything with lactose in it. lots of cinnamon. Thank you! Adding cinnamon to my list, I've been doing ACV with organic lemon and raw honey, and gargling with sea salt water and cayenne. The no sugar is so hard for me, but I've been good about it today. I've had strep before, and have the same symptoms as I've had with strep.... and no other Corona virus symptoms (at least from the lists that I've seen published). BUT, who knows.
