Neighbor Bob User ID: 78652215 United States 03/19/2020 02:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There was a $ General semi parked outside my local store here in Rural Kansas, They had delivered some supplies but what I saw the Driver doing was a bit concerning. Quoting: Michael. The Driver was coming out with bags of items (looked like food) and placing them up in the Semi's cab and it was packed. The driver's gotta eat. Restaurants are closing and semis can't go through a drive thru. What do you expect? |

Dented cases of food are often refused. It is often up to the driver to dispose of it. Perfectly good food just a dented corner or something from being loaded by not so careful fork truck driver. Would you head out hundreds of miles not knowing where your next meal would come from? Or would you put food in your cab to ensure you make it through the next few days? |

Quoting: Michael. The Driver was coming out with bags of items (looked like food) and placing them up in the Semi's cab and it was packed. While checking out (just cat food and bread today ) I noticed they have cut back to just the recite of the items purchased (none of the usual ads or coupons attached). I asked why the short recite? and the answer was they were told to cut back on everything as much as possible. She also said "DG was shutting down things as much as possible". Anyone else been to their local DG and see anything going on today? I have a family member who works for DG and they said they were told to cut back on everything too. When trucks show up they lock all the doors and the driver does keep some things in the cab locked up until the end. Customers were trying to steal the big bottles of hand sanitizer they keep behind the counter for the cashiers. Theyre just taking precautions. |

Used to work at DG as a key holder years back and our guy said he never has time to get a bite to eat, so he'd grab a few bags worth of stuff and took off.
