Sweden has officially given up on combating the virus What makes me think this has been around for years, but the test wasn't used or needed before? I have also pondered this. In such case it could have been mistaken for a regular flu before. It might have mutated since and we are seeing a lightly more deadly version this season. Who really knows at this point. .
