WHO declares the outbreak of the new coronavirus is a pandemic

The coronavirus sweeping across the world is a pandemic, the World Health Organization declared today. There are now over 118,000 cases of COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus, in 114 countries around the world.

118,000 cases WORLD WIDE! That's not a damn pandemic outbreak! Jeeeeeeeeez! 7,000,000,000+ people in the world and WHO is calling 118,000 cause of the flu a pandemic? Jeeeeeeeeez-H-Christ! Ha!

Heck 18,000 to 40,000 Americans die of the common yearly flu every year and up to 45,000,000 Americans get infected with the flu every year. 175,000 to 200,000 Americans are hospitalized with the flu every year.

So WHO calls 118,000 world wide cases of a new strain of flu a pandemic? Ha!

 Quoting: Robert55 77272669

It has absolutely nothing to do with what the reported numbers are right now and everything to do with what the numbers are going to be in the future. People need to stop thinking like tarded morans.
 Quoting: Abiogenesis-FSB

Ok fair enough. If we all don't get the flu this spring/summer, then we can all agree the WHO has no credibility on such matters.

This has a very 9/11 feel, those of us alive and old enough obviously remember where we were and what we were doing when our world changed. The whole world watched that event unfold in unison. This obviously is not that one event, but this will be one of those events etched in our memories for a lifetime. Regardless of the outcome just the global nature of this has made it surpassed every other event. Well babies, the time has finally come!

Here’s what you need to do: stand straight up, spread your legs shoulder length, bend forward as far as you can, close your eyes, grab your asscheeks and squeeze as hard as you can...now pray to the almighty. You are now officially on your own.

Good luck.

You can not compare yearly numbers with 60 days of COVID numbers.
Even less sum them all up, that is a scarecrow/whataboutism fallacy

Whether they released this bs is immaterial. The fact something is spreading this fast in alarming in accordance with deagle.com population predictions for 2020-2024.. They planned this shit and you need to take it serious..

I have to say, I am suprised at the lack of anger directed at the Chinese for what they have allowed to happen.

Subsequently, I think the WHO should be held responsible directly for this mess thay have created..

In my opinion they have been directly responsible and have blood on their hands.

Over here, we just let the shit run wild and pretend it doesn't exist.
 Quoting: ^TrInItY^

What?

China sat on it from probably about October

China didn’t tell its citizens it was contagious at first until it was out of control

China let their people fly and travel worldwide while knowing they had a new virus spreading rapidly

China wouldn’t work with anyone who asked to study the virus or accept any help

That’s trying?

This has a very 9/11 feel, those of us alive and old enough obviously remember where we were and what we were doing when our world changed. The whole world watched that event unfold in unison. This obviously is not that one event, but this will be one of those events etched in our memories for a lifetime. Regardless of the outcome just the global nature of this has made it surpassed every other event. Very well expressed. I've been telling people around me that this is history in motion and that it will impact all of us. Most of them think I'm nuts but I don't mind that.

Even if we don't have to step over piles of dead bodies, and I hope it never comes to that, this will impact us. The reactions of people around us are about to become incredibly unpredictable.

#1, it is not influenza - it is a deadly strain of a coronavirus.

#2 give it a conservative estimate of only 20% of the US public getting infected, and a modest mortality rate of 2%, that would result in 380,000,000 * .2 *.02 = 1.5 million deaths in the United States alone. Apply the same modest assumptions to the rest of the world 8,000,000,000 *.2 *.02 = 32 million dead...and that is a best-case scenario.

#3 A large percentage of people coming out of recovery from the disease are showing signs of acute pulmonary fibrosis. Of the 10-20% of people who get severe symptoms (virus attaching to ace2 receptors in lung tissue, cytokine storm, pneumonia, etc) there is a high likelihood of scarring that will severely shorten the life spans of tens of millions of those infected and recovered. This figure is an unknown but this family of disesases (SARS) has shown the ability to fuck up people's lungs for life. Yes, irreparable damage. COPD for tens of millions highly likely.

Stop minimizing this shit, tards. Anybody walking into this with complacency is a confirmed idiot.
