Houston is out of bottled water. Out. We are 25 miles north of the impacted area. Out. It is due to that huge water main leak - there are 1,000,000 either without water or on boil notice. It will take them weeks to get the bottled water situation under control here... wait until they announce a CV death around here. $36 will be a bargain.

It's supply and demand. And the majority of things sold on Amazon are not sold BY Amazon,but by small businesses trying to make a profit. Prices on most things that are Prime eligible are higher anyway because you have to take into account Amazon's fees.

I have a small business on Amazon so trust me here.

That is the price because it costs so much to ship something that big and heavy. In fact, Amazon charges $34.51 to fulfill that item because of the weight/size. That item isn't fulfilled by Amazon so the shipping is likely less (non 2 day Prime) but the point is, the shipping takes up most of that money.

I have a program that tracks the price of all Amazon items over time. That's been priced between 25 and 35 dollars for the past year.

It seems like they're price gouging because of the "shortage" but they're not. It's been that way.

Just got Amazon's brand of 365 gallon spring water delivered. It was 85 cents. Bought several.

2.5 gallon jugs are up to 3 bucks at the grocery store

just locate a water station, they are all over my city, and fillo 5 gallon jugs up, its purfied to a degree, tested with a meter myself, about 90%

Aldi has 24 for 2 bucks.
