[ link to www.nbcnewyork.com (secure)] Police said they received a call around 4 p.m. for an unconscious male at a townhouse on East 19th Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Law enforcement sources confirmed the deceased was Ocasek. :( Saw them live....weird. Music was great. They never spoke. Turned out all the lights between songs. Like they were doing it because they had too. Odd as hell. Felt like they were being dicks, but with new wave types it was hard to tell....could have just been “artsy”...1985 I think...
