Yes it certainly has been an odd winter this year. The amount snow the Sierra Nevada recieved this year was record and 20 years of winters like this one it would be an ice age up there. They just recieved 2 feet in the higher elevations across the entire Sierra. Yosemite looked like this. [ link to www.sfgate.com (secure)] Thank you for that beautiful photo! Yes, winter was all off in many areas this year, and spring is strange too. There are people still talking about global warming and yet it seems like we really are entering the mini ice age, despite the fact that my state warmed too quickly this spring.
