I can't help but think her Dwarfism might have contributed to her living a shorter life. Besides Dwarfism giving her a shorter statue and a permanent looking grumpy face what else did it do that led to health complications when she got older? A normal cat her age would normally recover and survive from something like this. It is not like she was over the hill for a cat. That's what I figured too because like Lil Bub she had excellent doctors but they may not have all the knowledge of how to deal with it. Her family loved her so much. I got teary eyed to losing a pet is horrible. They are your family and you get so used to having them there. Yes people have told me it's like losing a member of the family and because cats don't live as long as humans on average some people can't bare to get another pet after losing one because they don't want to go through that grieving process again. The vet probably didn't know much about Dwarfism as Dwarfism is rare in cats. In humans Dwarfism ends up causing problems for some where they had to have operations to fix things. I would imagine it caused other problems for Grumpy cat besides walking funny and looking grumpy. It probably made it more tricky to treat the cats urinary tract infection. Before people get all judgmental on the owner of the cat, Dwarfism is not as common in cats as diabetes and less is known about Dwarfism in cats. |
