This will be the first of many proceedings we will attend and is scheduled. Volunteer Citizen Journalists from C-VINE will be doing their very best to make our country proud to know that “We the People” have taken charge of how the News is reported.

It hasn't been a good sign when this administration replaces anyone, as all the new appointees seem to be from the deep state.

A man's career has just been ruined - there will be no more promotions and no more "good" positions. To do this is a major step, so if he didn't do something really, really large to be punished, and I don't think he did, then something is changing at Gitmo and he didn't wish to go along with it - felt it was a negative change. So they move into position someone who will cooperate with the change - and this is not necessarily good.

This is very much a wait and see situation.

Thank you very much for finding this site! "Citizen Journalists" are, for example, the guys who went to that town where a black man was killed and the whole town was in an uproar. Ferguson? They go with their cameras - some even have them mounted on a vehicle roof, others just use their cellphones, and they give us the news as boots-on-the-ground. This is a good thing, because they don't filter. That is, they are new to the job, and don't know how to twist things to a certain perspective, or editorialize by playing with the footage they took. They stream it straight, either to yt or another site. Amazing stuff - I've followed several in the past.

No. Alternative media is catching the news as it happens. Literally on site. GLP discusses the news - although often the news is here before it is anywhere, but nobody here is out taking video on the ground. Wish we could do that - but it would take so many willing people, to cover the whole country and be ready at the drop of a citizen's band radio to go running out into the night, into the weather, into the danger if any, to bring us the video as it happens. I don't know if it would be possible to link live video here, but if not, no doubt Trinity could make it happen - once he has taken care of all that is currently on his mind.

I will just add - anybody getting good video like that will be paid by various news organizations wanting to use their video, so it is beneficial to the citizen journalist as well as to the forum.

I would NOT put a "Political Spin" on this, yet ... the Navy in particular has had LOTS of Command Issue problems over the last few years, problems that had nothing to do with politics

(out and out bribery in the command ranks, ships running into other ships, terrible moral among certain units, active lying by some in higher slots, and of course non-permitted fraternization, non-permitted fraternization, and non-permitted fraternization)

More than any of the other services the Navy seems to have lost much of it's historic moral and leadership excellence, and that loss has been cropping up in myriad ways ... REGULARLY, which in most organizations generally shows a lack of good leadership at the very top of the food chain.

I am sure more information will leak out over the next couple of weeks.

I do recall a great deal of trouble over hookers at some meeting navy men attended, and some misuse of funds there, as well.

It may be political, and it may not. We really don't know anything yet except that a man's career is ruined.
