40 days?

I'm only on day 2 and I already feel like caving.

So Jesus was a sissy?

Apparently, the pain goes away after Day 5, or so.

It's a piece of piss, from then to Day 40.

Jesus did a 40 day "retreat" in the desert.

Other major biblical figures, such as Elijah and Moses, were said to have done a 40 day too.

Retreat.. that's what we call it these days. Lots of retreat centers out there, some of which support longer term retreats.

Other faiths have this requirement as well, thus you all most likely heard about yogis in caves on mountains and such.. all doing the same thing, through different techniques.

Note that "fasting" for 40 days in those days, apparently, doesn't actually mean not eating for 40 days:

Is this like the "Fasting" that do during Ramadan;

Fasting is fasting, however you might feel about the particulars of why someone does it.

Huger and fasting really did mean hunger and fasting and not a "retreat". Anyway, not sure why your thread triggered this but it's always a good read.

I am not a sissy and I fast.

Sure, if you want to ignore the meaning of the term fasting in order to impose your own viewpoint onto something that is not limited to the bible or biblical times..

The bible says that he was hungry because he fasted. Many kinds of fasts will leave you hungry, even if you still eat certain things.



Anyway that all being said, Buddhists and Hindus do have practices wherein very advanced yogis supposedly "live off the air" so to speak, so it's not like your version of Jesus's fast is without precedent.. Neither is it unique. It's just not necessary for spiritual attainment, said attainment being the reason folk do month long retreats in the first place, in all the different faiths.

I did 30 days only water.

I was dying (very, very serious, don't wanna go into details) ~ the deep state knew, they covered up what was seen on my x-rays.

I was in and out of this world, supernatural, demonic attacks, my cats laid on top of me and fought entities in the air with their paws.

I was under surveillance, it was like a movie.

If you only knew exactly all I have gone through, sp many of you wouldn't drop those damn oneliners telling me to fast etc.
