Pray you flight not be in winter or on the sabbath day!

My place is all set up for winter. Bought this place 22 years ago. Winters here are not too bad.

My home is a very narrow 3 story A frame tucked into the top of the mountain. New insulated tin roof 14 years ago. Snow just slides down the sides if it get heavy.

Sounds a bit like mine, on the side of a mountain. I can literally see for miles from my house. It's a 200 odd year old stone cottage, very thick walls, cold and draughty though in winter..

Already here.....

Fixing a nice 4X4 quad bike for the "old man" that owns the land today. Carb was buggered up. Last person to work on it musta been an idiot. Float was way off, flooded engine with gas, crank case full!

Yesterday fixed the New Holland skid loader (again)fuse link box contacts fried.
Burned up contacts. rebuilt it! Filed contacts.
Always a project. Now he wants Stihl saws fixed that haven't run in 5 years or more. Fun fun.

Being single sucks though.

Not anymore. I got married some few years back and she made us move to the 'burbs next to the coast.

I still have my little patch out in the woods with the well and my workshop and such, but it's really becoming a pain in my ass to take care of both places.
