The beauty of it is that breaking loose and rolling around in high winds is how tumbleweeds propagate their seed, so these neighborhoods can look forward to a bumper crop of them growing right in their own yards before long. |

It was a pretty harsh smoke, so you had to take care not to tear your throat out. We broke then up and used them for play logs and built forts in the dirt. One Christmas my husband and I were so broke we could not afford a tree, so I decorated a tumbleweed with Chinaberries [link to rangeplants.tamu.edu] which looked like little golden balls. And some other stuff too. But it make a cool looking tree. *** Good deeds bring rewards, bad actions bring troubles. That is a law of the universe. *** |

I also like to break free and propagate my seed you can, but your species has to pay for the offspring for 18 years where the tumbleweeds don't. |

There's a place a couple hours from where I live in the moutains of colorado where there's literally thousands of tumbleweeds. All you have to do is walk along the highway, they are bunched up for miles and miles along the fences. |

And some other stuff too. But it make a cool looking tree. Lol! I remember as a kid we had several silver painted tumbleweed christmas trees. this happened to a few towns near Angor Wat: The tumbleweeds seems harmless at first untill their seeds sprout and mature creating habitat for reptiles like the Gila Monster, then the occassional mesquite tree uses its taproot to crack into your sewer line inevitably feeding a lot of sketchy looking groups of blackbirds that think you are a piece of turd, next an outbreak of dandelions on your front lawn which although aesthetically pleasing attracts the horrendous pollinators which in turn attracts the bug eaters infested with transmittable diseases like black plague, then comes the apex predators who normally stay distant untill your house became a giant all you can eat buffet and they dont really understand why its wrong to eat those little things running and screaming around with flailing arms, and we all know what happens when human dna has been ingested by mother nature's furry woodland creatures dont we...? think of this tribe of tumbleweeds as immune cells surrounding a parasite, the taproot of the trees works like a T-cell and once the human dna the coyotes and bobcats ate has been "uploaded" into gaia mind, we the human species will be identified by our phermones everywhere we go like a beetle wandering into an ant hill. we have no chance. |
