Earlier today, I transferred all my scripts from Walgreens to another local pharmacy. They asked why... Allowing men into women’s restrooms

The American Family Association (AFA) is alerting supporters of a new policy at Walgreens store nationwide that allows transgender individuals to use any bathroom they choose.
This policy, identical to a policy already in force at Target stores nationwide, could open the door to dangerous encounters inside pubic women’s restrooms.

The new Walgreens bathroom policy was created with the input of the ACLU, and the company states “the intent of this policy is to support transgender individuals in our stores and facilities and foster an environment of inclusion and mutual respect.” The policy explicitly states that “All individuals have a right to use restroom facilities that correspond to the individual’s gender identity, regardless of the individual’s sex assigned at birth.”

The policy was actually set late last year, but is only now coming to light.

In a shocking policy announcement, Walgreens has now directed its stores to allow men full and unrestricted access to women’s restrooms in all of its 8,100 stores.

stating, “All individuals have a right to use restroom facilities that correspond to the individual’s gender identity, regardless of the individual’s sex assigned at birth.”

The policy came as the result of being pressured by the ACLU of Southern California.

Since a similar public policy was announced by Target Stores, Inc. two years ago, dozens of women and children have been victimized by male predators inside Target stores.

Walgreens’ new policy could potentially result in female customers becoming victims of voyeurism, sexual assault and physical attack.

Overpriced scripts are Walfreens bread and butter.

I only pay $5 per fill for anything, but they will take a hit for what they bill to insurance.

(The two Walgreens I use have three stalls in each restroom, and two urinals in the mens room.

Surprise twist - OP transferred their prescriptions to the local super Target.

Called my local Walgreens and they confirm this is their policy. Advised I will be moving my prescriptions to another pharmacy. Called CVS on the corner across from the greens although our state allows transgender’s to use whatever bathroom they want, CVS does not have a stated policy on bathroom usage. Will be moving my prescriptions to CVS. Also called Walgreens corporate advise them unless they build a third bathroom I’m pulling my prescriptions from their facility and will not shop there again.I will inform everyone I know of their policy. I don’t know if it would do any good but I’m sick of this transgender stuff being shoved down my throat.

Nope... Just a local pharmacy as I stated. Mom and pop shop.

They are conservative leaning as I found out when I told them why I was transferring.

Keep calm and keep up the good work. I stand with you as will others.

Withdraw all accounts of any kind and stop going there. Boycott them completely.

They'll change back once lawsuits start hitting them.

With all respect, even with the conservative tide rising in this country the courts are still heavily liberal. You wouldn't even get past preliminary hearings if you sued for bathrooms that were only for one gender or the other.

The only option available is the one that the OP opted for - the power of the purse. Make it devasting for any company to cater to a minority and that company will either conform to majority opinion or go under.

Fun fact - my local Target just closed.

Just transferred all of mine today to a home delivery service through my healthcare provider...Saves me money and tells Walgreens to shove it...

Truth be told if the men's room stalls are in use and I have to have a dire case of rhea, I will be happy for this new rule
