The central American tropics are hot and if the two potentials mentioned earlier form in the eastern pacific it will be a replay of Frank and Georgette (or whatever G was called). Those two boosted the monsoon flow up through Mexico into AZ. The next two Pacific storms would be #8 and 9 named storms a month before the peak of the season. Meanwhile Atlantic is dead. I think in 1950 the first Atlantic hurricane was Aug 1st and they ended up with something like 6 hurricanes and several majors - maybe 3. |
