I'm stuck on a big decision. Where are the best places to live?
I'm looking for a new place to live. I'm not tied to any particular location right now and can go almost anywhere in the US or somewhere that will give me a work visa.

Here are some of the qualities I want:

English speaking area
somewhere where I won't have to spend more than a total of 30 minutes in traffic each day
Intelligent and peaceful people
Clean and not too crowded
Good standard of living
Low crime rate
Natural beauty

I don't have very much money, so it needs to be a place that is affordable enough for me to get there, rent a place to live while I get established, and maintain my life on a normal working salary.

Here are some places I'm curious about:

Sedona Arizona
Santa Fe New Mexico
Northern California
Boulder Colorado
Missoula Montana
Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands

I'm open to other places as well. I'm sure there are great places out there that I have never heard of. This is a big decision for me to make and I could use some input at this point. I know that there is somewhere out there for me.

Do you know anything about the places on my list? Maybe you know about a wonderful place that I've never heard of?

Sedona gets flooded with tourists, so if you're looking to get away from traffic, not good.

Also, it has limited resources. If you need to shop or need the nearest Home Depot, you have to go to Prescott, Prescott Valley, Flagstaff.

It's a beautiful place to visit (I'm 50 miles away), but otherwise limited.

Ask these people. See right side of page. I was confused after I ordered the map many years ago, but I know people who have used them several times for choices of college locations for their kids and other people have also used them for locations where they should live. They used the "3 city locations" at a time and there was one occasion where they sent 9 possible cities at a time. The choices worked out beautifully. Just as the astrologers said it would.

The astrologers use your birth date/time/location to select where you will be happier and successful. I first learned about this method years ago when Sylvester Stallone was said he could write better in certain areas and not in others. He based it all on astrology.

If I had to pick, I'd pick Sedona. Prepare to pay $800 plus for a room to rent.

I would consider Albuquerque too, some people hate it but I like it there. Stick to Nob Hill, great vibrant area.

So may as well move to Prescott, Prescott Valley, Flagstaff.

Those are all nice and fit your bill. Also cheaper than Sedona. Stay away from the Valley (Phoenix Area) unless it is the outskirts. Traffic sucks.

Arizona is pretty good place to live though, if you find the right nook.

Yeah, they are expensive. It seems like everywhere has a high cost of living now compared to average salaries. I'm spending a little bit of time in the rural Midwest now, and although it's a low cost of living area, I can't find enough other reasons to stay.

Murrells Inlet South Carolina

Nice, peaceful place. Seldom ever see snow, shorts and t-shirt most of the year but not as hot as Florida. Jobs could be better but cost of living is great.

Re: I'm stuck on a big decision. Where are the best places to live?
Northern CA is beautiful but pricey to live.

Pasco County and Hernando County, Florida are quaint, family oriented, close enough to wildlife yet also close to cities like Tampa and St. Pete.

Tennessee and Arkansas both have good qualities that you're looking for. The Ozarks.

Big Island Hawaii is more affordable than the other Hawaiian islands but harder to find work.

Go for it! When I was younger I took a leap of faith and drove off to live in a place I'd never been. It was one of the better decisions of my life.

Another thought - get an astrology report called AstroCartoGraphy. Using your birthdate/birthplace they calculate the best locales for love, success, popularity, finances, as well as places to avoid. I had it done in the 1980s and loosely followed it over the years, found it to be quite accurate.

Best of luck!

Boulder sucks

Unless you have a million to spend for a home

You will end up living in a run down apertment for

No less than 2000 a month

Most apartments in boulder proper are run down

Managed by slum lords
