I thought it was normal as I was not from there. So yes, this does happen there but I have no idea why. I was too young to inquire when I was there and it happened. . One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one. Oh yeah, like you'd understand anyway. Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?. . .J. Handy |

Trees and infrastructure just are used to that in our parts. Stock up and be safe. Could knock out power for a while. |

Quoting: Sunny Daze gusts over a hundred miles an hour - no rain - we still had snow on the ground when this thing hit town ... no one has ever experienced anything like this ... it isn't blowing dust or even top soil around - its blowing GRAVEL --- don't know how many trucks it is blown over on I25 but they aren't even trying to put them up-right, as long as the wind keeps up - it must be blowing 40MPH steady - with gust between 60 - 100+ it started at 7PM last night - coming straight from the WEST, but leaving all the water in California and Nevada it is doing the same here, as it did there, backing up against the mountains, til it builds up enough to crest them, then rolls over the Peak like a tidal wave - pulling up trees by the roots, rolling cars over, knocking over 18 wheeler s, and flinging trash from the Coast to Kansas batten down the hatches - it's coming YOUR WAY kinda makes me believe that Planet X is close - because nothing like this has ever been recorded any one else out there with a link other than KKTV ? So you get a freak storm, and decide Planet X is real? How fucking retarded. |

Warms things up but it comes with a price. Those are chinook winds. Quoting: Prospektor Northern Colorado winds have knocked people off their feet last year. and they were even dragging people as they tried to grab onto car doors, tree limbs, just about anything. |

(OP) User ID: 59490123 United States 01/09/2017 10:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thanks for adding the vid ... other than the wind factor, it was a bright beautiful WARM day in Colorado ... I've been checking everywhere, but the "severe wind alert" was removed - even though the wind has not stopped or even let up as of 8:30 ... I could not believe, that ACCU Weather said that the wind was 15mph in their hourly ... my ass, I just went up on the roof to re-bag my vents ... HA - it all but shoved me over ... none of the farm critters seemed bothered, probably because it is so warm, with plenty of shelter and the sun was shinning most of the day - which made it surreal ... because when you stepped out in it, you got sand-blasted ... with an occasional salting of gravel - I had to prop my gate open, to keep the wind from shutting it- and its a Mighty Mule ! we are quite accustomed to wind, out here on the praries but this was beyond what anyone has ever seen without a tornado close ... they were calling it a "Land Hurricane" on the NEW, because of the wind speeds, which were reported to be OVER 100MPH ... you ever heard of a "wind storm" like that ? 'cause none of us have, and it is AWE inspiring lots of Electric outages ... off and on all day in town - none out here ... yet Last Edited by Sunny Daze on 01/09/2017 10:48 PM |

Last spring it hailed shards of ice, and destroyed my green house ... Last Winter was the best one I experiened so far ... greenest Spring and Summer ever ... just keeps getting better - you couldn't pay me to live anywhere else I'd be there if there was someplace suited me better - I wasn't creating (fake) news - I'm living it and not complaining - in the least. |

I like to believe that it is cyclic, and we haven't lived long enough to see it before ... could be the results of "geo-engineering" in an attempt to control Nature - gone wrong ... really - anything is possible ... even Planet X we're living in some exciting times, friend - I'm grateful Last Edited by Sunny Daze on 01/09/2017 11:07 PM |

User ID: 69894329 United States 01/09/2017 11:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What is a Chinook wind? When warm, moist air from the Pacific rises over the mountains in western Canada, it cools, and the moisture condenses out of the air. As the dry air descends over the eastern slopes, it picks up speed and warms significantly, creating the distinct Chinook wind signature. The winds can reach hurricane force and raise temperatures in the affected area by up to 40 degrees in a single hour. [link to www.reference.com (secure)] |

"tornado force winds" - just not sustained for more than a few minutes at a time ... I watched it on the wind maps, I watched it peal the tar paper off of my neighbor's roof on his barns - the pieces are probably in Kansas by now and that what I'm saying, it's headed East - and it isn't just a wave of wind - its an ocean ... the WC says it will slow down to about 30 but it will continue all week |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 71089372 United States 01/09/2017 11:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Does anyone recall an article that was on drudge for a few hours I believe in 2011 or 2012 that talked about a type of future climate chaos where there would be 300-400 mph wind storms and all kinds of doom? It got pulled in short time, a few alt websites had it up flagged. I was just thinking about the thread with the 172 mph winds at a peak in the Sierras last night. Now this? Something seems kind of fucked up if you ask me... I'll see if I can find the article... |
