(Serious, life or death question) Your not required to forgive yourself, that is God's job not yours. Seek out, what is your job, and fulfil it, and you will be forgiven. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73615986 Listen to the Word's of Christ, in the Book of Matthew, when he speaks of forgiveness. Do not be wise or think yourself intelligent, but crawl as a newborn, and you will know what is required of you. Every pastor I've ever tried to talk to or confide in and get guidance from has told me I have to forgive myself. Am I listening to false teachers? No, because if you do not accept your own forgiveness of yourself, how will you accept anyone else's (God's)? The hardest lesson is forgiving ourselves. We are more willing to forgive others than ourselves and that's why we have guilt. And then it builds to animosity to those we forgot that we forgave. You don't need to seek anyone other than your Bible. I can't say it enough; everything you seek will come to you when you read the Bible. It's like that Tom & Jerry episode. They kept beating each other in the head. What makes it stop?! |
