I get 26 mpg in my full sized pickup. YOU on the other hand can't haul shit in your little car, if you buy something like a bed/furniture etc... you have to pay extra for it to be brought to your home. Dumbass...

I have a dodge ram, 5.9 liter gas engine, and I can haul my 32 camper trailer with no issues at all. And when not towing, I get 26 mpg. Just as good as the diesel models.

I got Amazon Prime so don't need a dumbass truck to haul shit.

Besides "haulin shit" I also use it for Surfing, snowboarding, kayaking, and pulling my dinghy to the lake to sail.

Where I live, Kauai, pickup trucks are far more practical and needed. They are used to haul surf boards, landscaping rubbish, camping gear, pull your horse trailer or boat and you can load your whole family in the back.

My Dodge Grand Caravan minivan with stow-and-go seats can carry 7 passengers with luggage or I can load 4'x8' sheets of plywood in the back without having to tarp them in or worry about theft. I can also put down a full size futon and sleep peacefully in bear country. If I bang a fat chick, the van rocks and bounces.

I can carry an inflatable zodiac boat and motor, but I cannot carry an ATV or a snowmobile. I could transport those with a trailer. It's just a matter of needs and priorities.

Factually, if you are limited to one vehicle, a 1994-1998
Dodge 2500 with the 5.9 Cummins and a manual trasmission is the perfect ride.

It will haul 6 people, anything you can fit in the bed, and a loaded trailer, at 75 mph, while getting around 18 mpg. That's over 500 miles between fill-ups!

It is very easy to work on, and the engine will last for a half-million miles, if properly maintained, which means changing the oil, and keeping the rpm's below 2500.

It is the perfect vehicle to survive an EMP, as it requires no voltage to run, and could be push-started if the starter was fried.

Please note: Many of us over here resent being called Yanks. We would much prefer the term, REDNECK.

I drive a 2016 F150 Lariat. It's a 6 liter 8 cylinder powerhouse. I put off-road 10-ply Goodyears on it. Topped it off with a lift kit. It would crush your sissy wagon.
