To each his own. I'm not gonna rip on someone for wanting a $50k half ton. Most of the guys I knew at work who had em never hauled anything, never went off road, just commuted back and forth to work at 15mpg. Seems like a waste of money to me but it's still a free country and folks can spend their money on what they want or what makes em happy.

And no I don't drive a f*cking Prius. Just a basic American mid size sedan. I like a good reliable car but I'm not spending $450+ on a loan payment just to drive back and forth to work.

My truck is 20+ years old, has over 300k miles on it, gets 20mpg, and can run on used veg oil.

It is vastly easier on the environment then you replacing your new car every 6 years.

Trucks are for independent people who don't want to rely on others or public transportation or renting a truck from Home Depot they just want to get it done themselves. I love my truck it will get me into and out of anything that I needed to. It hauls and under believable load incanto a trailer over 15,000 pounds. People who don't like trucks don't get trucks. It's a cultural thing. And I'm a girl.
