Thanks to everyone who has posted so far! I have been away for a few hours but will be more engaging in a bit. I'm considering making up a book list of possible books/movies/topics to discuss together and then creating a "moderated" thread as one of the posters here was kind enough to suggest. Then as a moderator of my own thread I can at least help keep the trolls to a minimum.

If a few of us find that we like each other's communication style perhaps we can also exchange contact information in the possibility one or more of us gets banned from the site as some have suggested happens (i.e. getting in a war of words with the wrong person).
