We also know he cops were in the nightclub and had Mateen trapped in the bathroom. They were commanded to leave the scene and hours later returned after everyone had bled out and died. But here is the kicker, they had to come back in through a brick wall.

He was probably talking to his alphabet agency handler.

He was probably told they would make sure he was able to escape. Little did he know, they never intended to allow that.

I really don't know how anyone can believe the feds don't have a hand in many of these incidents. At MINIMUM the feds knew he was going to do something and turned a blind eye. They supposedly "interviewed" him several times. Same thing with the San Bernardino shooters, Boston bombing brothers, etc.

All these laws they've passed, slowly whittling away our freedom and privacy in order to "keep us safe" have accomplished nothing (for us, the people), except give the government more power and control. Once they can put the last nail in the coffin, that being destroying the 2nd Amendment, we will be effectively emasculated and rendered defenseless.

As an aside, I highly recommend everyone take a first aid course (ideally advanced first aid or a first responder course) and carry a concealed handgun and know how to use it. The first aid is useful in numerous scenarios, not just shootings. I recommend the advanced course (2 days) or first responder (usually 1 week), as they are much more detailed and comprehensive than the basic 4-8 hour course. Make sure it includes CPR and AED. If you're terrified of handguns, at least carry some form of defense that you are comfortable with.

Apparently after they killed Mateen, the bomb squad detonated a controlled explosive.

Five minutes later, the police said a bomb squad had set off a controlled explosion. At 5:53 a.m., they confirmed Mateen's death. Thirty hostages were freed during the police operation. Many of the survivors were searched by police for guns and explosives.
