I do it all except for drums and sound effects. You should post some of your doom photography here! Quoting: Haven't had any doom to photograph yet, but when/if I do... What will your book be about? Quoting: Not sure yet. I've always imagined I'd be a horror writer but there is no inspiration in that direction. I think I might just write my collective wisdom and disguise it as a book for my children, since I will probably die before they are full adults. (Late Start and Heart problems.) YIKES on your poison cooking. Ehhh, mental note not to get on your bad side! Quoting: See above re: Heart problems ;) (B)ullshit™ always needs an amplified bullhorn demanding kneeling subservience - or else.- SyncAsFunk The light within me always draws me back to make the dark decision to leave the false counterfeit light. -New Heart |

Knowing how to put someone to sleep with your bare hands is priceless- it is also a great equalizer- a woman skilled at MMA can defeat many/most men who have no working understanding of the concepts. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 62929414 Locksport: being able to access locked areas/rooms/homes without making a bunch of noise might be a really good thing to know. Basic outdoor survival: minimalist backpacking will prepare you psychologically for living with little to nothing in unfamiliar environments- there are many schools teaching outdoor survival these days. Basic firearms knowledge and marksmanship: Many people own firearms. Some feel more is better, yet they have poor marksmanship skills and understand nothing about weapons care and maintenance. Psychology: knowing how people will react (sometimes before even they do) is priceless... understanding how to barter... and what to look for in a person who might or might not be trustworthy or "sane" will come in extremely useful. Locksport - GREAT idea! thank you If you want to learn... this is the guy- Bosnian Bill- Single best resource on the internet. [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] |

Those sound like very useful hobbies, albeit intense. I like the idea of locksport (never heard that term before). Where does one learn and practice that? Edit: just saw your post with the YouTube link. Thanks! Last Edited by LucyLucid on 03/26/2016 11:53 AM |

Also cheese making info and supplies. I collect good books on all kinds of things. Soap making, candle making, and food preservation are going to be new and needed skills in a possibly fucked-up future. Right now I can google anything...but when TSHTF I will have my books. |

Someone mentioned beekeeping. I love that one. Some day when I live in a more rural and non-rented space, I want to have bees. It's risky because they could all die off and disappear, but valuable because they do so many good things. |
