Yes, I'm sure money plays into it for some, but I'm afraid, based on comments I keep reading, that it's more psychological. I believe Trump will win the primary, but Ted Cruz has created such a divisive situation for his supporters, that it puts them at odds with the very people they should be fighting along side of (at least in spirit). His comments about New York values, to me, was basically a right wing version of Obama's comments about people clinging to religion & guns … it's pitting people against each other. It's unhelpful. The goal of the establishment, where Cruz is part of, is to avoid a Trump presidency. Their last opportunity is splitting the vote and acheiving a brokered convention to nominate their candidate. |
