I am so sorry for you and your wife. That was no doubt traumatizing for her, to witness that with those vicious dogs attacking him.

Your dog was so cute, and no doubt he knew how well loved and cared for he was. So sad he had to go through that.

Very sadly, it can't bring your dog back but it's brought the irresponsible, lying neighbour up short and helped to protect others.

I only hope no further harm is done by her since the sentence was a suspended one. And even if the amount has to be paid, whether it will or not could be another matter as well. A lot of people don't do their follow through and that is where the next phase usually comes in where warrants eventually end up being served. But who knows, maybe she has learned her lesson.

my neighbour has 3 large dogs that have the free run of the neighbourhood.

so far not aggressive but when I moved here 8 yrs ago I told them that I didnt want the dogs on my acreage.

called animal control many times within the first 3 yrs.

one winter day after my birdfeeder got broke for the third time in 3 days.. one dog disappeared.

they harrass my chickens and even if they cant get to the chickens.. egg production is decreased.

neighbour said my chickens were teasing the dogs.

lately, the dogs have started coming back.

I caught one? in a large live trap and he tore rite thru it.

of course, I didnt see it so cant be positive.

no prob.. I am patient

the dogcatcher charges owner $150 if he finds a dog.

when I catch the dog in my live trap I will offer it for $75 to them .

if they balk, I will just call the dog catcher.

dog catcher has told me to call them when I get the dog.
