How come the warmongers arent screaming for war with North Korea like they did with Iraq? | |
Fool User ID: 142889 Canada 10/09/2006 12:03 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Clearly... they pose no threat to the continental U.S. and can't do jack shit. Iraq had more play with "terrorists" and being associated with them, even when they weren't associated, but it was easier to play out In this respect, no one is really needed for warmongering because they said they wouldn't allow this, so now that it has happened, either they stick with their word, or take a huge psychological blow Although, CNN just said it's the world's fear if North Korea tries to perfect this... like anyone gives a shit about North Korea |

Whats the difference both can kill millions of people. |

Kim is fed up and probably won't take anymore sanctions Look for N.K to go to war with S Korea if any more sanctions are put against them Time Is An Event Wasted |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 137420 United States 10/09/2006 12:23 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My prediction: Tomorrow and in the coming days, you'll hear a lot more about how the US should've done something to stop NK before they got this far. You will hear about how much of a "tragedy" it is that they are now nuclear ... how much more dangerous the world is, but how there's really nothing we can do now without risking nuclear annhilation of whoever NK wants to point their "new nukes" at. Which is why nothing will be done with force. However, you'll start to hear a WHOLE LOT VERY SOON about how we can change the course of Iran and their nuclear power RIGHT NOW before it's TOO LATE. That's why we should act - swiftly and militarily - to avoid what just occurred with NK. Yes, I think the NK test is going to be a great boon for the plans for Iran. War marches on. |

How come the warmongers arent screaming for war with North Korea like they did with Iraq? Quoting: Mrdjs7A.) No oil. That pretty much sums it up right there. Now like was stated before the US regime only attacks those who they think cant fight back. This isnt really news as it is no surprise, NK has had nukes for a while but since they: A. Can Fight back B. Have No oil C. Offer No Geopolitical Gains Invading is not an option... because after all if a few iraqi freedom fighters can keep the US at bay... if they attacked NK.. the US war machine would have their asses handed to them. Now this is a blow to bush...because the more people that ask..why the rhetoric on iraq and now iran - who had no weapons - but yet NK is pushed aside... it is going to look bad for them. And for those of you worried about a nuke war... relax...NK is a more of a threat to china & japan and they arent going to let this get out of control. But even still.... |

Notice that I did not say "win against" as they have never actually won anything - just stolen people's lives and resources. N. Korea however, can lob a few nukes now........ Quoting: Anonymous Coward 152697Very good. The US beat up a bunch of old Cuban men in Grenade, then beat up a bunch of fat toothless defense forces in Panama, then beat on an army that didn't even fight in Iraq, not once but twice. The US does not want to tangle with North Korea because that would require a draft. You pull 1,000,000 men out of the work force and that is going to disrupt the economy, plus how many people want to go fight a country that you know has nukes. The result being an attempt at psychological violence on the masses by presenting a supposed 'uncontained' threat to play on the public's fears of the future. Good way to raise fear (dark) vibration. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 152807 United States 10/09/2006 10:37 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Iraq had bombed several of it's neighbors and invaded Kuwait when we finally went in in Gulf War I. They had even used WMD's (gas) on their own people, wiping out a village in the Kurdish territory. When we responded in GWI, they signed terms of surrender (cease fire agreement) that included nt being an asshole to their neighbors and not gassing their own citizens. We patroled the no-fly zones over Iraq theu the signed terms of this cease fire agreement to monitor hostilities against the Kurds and movement of scuds to bomb neighbors again, and Saddam in violation of the terms he signed, kept firing on our UN sanctioned air patrols, so the cease fire was broken by him. Add to this that he kept calling for a 'Jihad' against the US (one you can search that I recall off the top of my head was his Christmas 1999 speech), and was funding terrorists including forking over cash to Hezbollah (the Sunni wing of terrorism). So given his past history of royally fucking up the region, something had to be done to contain him. Because he kept shooting at our planes, which we were using to contain him, it was appropriate to remove him. North Korea on the other hand built nukes with the reactor that Bill Clinton gave him, along with a wad of cash, based on his promise *wink*wink* that it would be used for civilian purposes. So we have little justification to go in, plus the threat Kim poses is not as well documented by historical actions as was Iraq. |
