Adolf Hitler did not take amphetamine or methamphetamine. His actual medical file was found decades ago. He was opposed to alcohol and narcotics. He had a cocaine based medicine prescribed by his doctor for an infection one time and quit because he was concerned about addiction.

There are bigger vices than coffee, so I have no guilt about the massive amount I consume each day.

Re: Coffee is a Nasty Trick
Coffee is a full blown drug like any other. It cracks me up to see coffee addicts looking down upon alcoholics, potheads, etc. And yes it is bad, bad, bad for us. I drink one a day but am working to get off that. It makes me feel bad and screws with my blood sugar. I'm currently drinking that International Moments or whatever it's called. That's how I'm weaning myself off. I'll just use less and less of the powder till I'm off completely.

My brain functions so much better caffeine-free. Warning though, the first few days of quitting cold turkey I'm totally exhausted, especially in the afternoon. Achy joints too. It's a nasty drug alright.

Re: Coffee is a Nasty Trick
Oh yeah, and coffee sets off panic attacks for me. It got to where I'd have them driving in my car even and have to pull over for awhile. I found out quickly that on the days I had no caffeine, I had NO panic attacks, not even the feeling that I might have one.

I gave up coffee in college for one year and I then gave up alcohol consumption for one year. Needless to say I drink both now, and since, 35years + and have no ill effects. The key is moderation, know your limits and do not exceed them.

Re: Coffee is a Nasty Trick
Coffee has got to be the biggest nastiest trick on the planet... I was addicted like a crack addict, I have finally got off the shit... I had a headache for 4 days, worse than any come down I have ever had... and felt like shit...

I think its all out my system, and my brain and body feel so much lighter and clearer...

We need to get rid of that poison...

damn...
 Quoting: 88@@

Many people cannot rid their bodies of caffeine fast enough.

I quit because of severe heart palpitations and also what i suspect to be adrenal fatigue.

I've been off coffee for 3 weeks now and I am still feeling a bit of withdrawal. Everything seems dull.

to counter the effects I have forced myself into very intense exercise daily.

I recommend the exercise.

Re: Coffee is a Nasty Trick
I love coffee. It is totally opposite of alcohol. I can't even begin to imagine how many people I would have run over if it weren't for coffee. I think you should lose your license if you are caught not under the influence of coffee while driving. I just feel so much smarter and alert, I couldn't imagine life without coffee. I would probably be vegging out in front of the TV getting programmed by Fox news.

Caffeine isn't the healthiest substance in the world, however, coffee does have a number of health benefits. Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Diabetes, etc...

It's packed with anti-oxidants, and on average coffee drinkers live longer than non.

Truth. It's a shame so few people will admit to it. It's the ideal control mechanism for the elite. People take a vacation from work and immediately put the coffee down hmm i wonder why? oh yea because it's a fucking working class drug is what this shit is.

The elite know it's not good. It was btw originally tested on slaves in France and they became more motivated to do their slavery then before and eventually became addicted and ofcourse followed the denial that it was any bad.

Re: Coffee is a Nasty Trick
I have A coffee mostly every morning and it just slightly makes me feel more alert for I am already usually highly energized person. I make myself a large expresso shot so no sugar or milk and never feel a comedown during the day.
I dislike drip coffee. I dont know it makes me feel more jittery maybe because I drink it slower compared to an expresso shot so its always introducing caffeine into my system over an extended period of time.

I could stop drinking coffee tomorrow with no noticeable effects. I rarely ever have over 120mgs a day.
People that drink 3 or more coffee's every day a few hours apart get use to the alkaloids in the coffee so you need more caffeine to feel the same effects; same as any other drug.
