My cat killed a mouse and I stepped on it with bare feet! Help me get rid of any others! | |

I get the whole "bringing me presents" thing cats do, but I'd prefer she leave them so I can see them BEFORE I step on them with bare feet! Then it was stuck and I had to scrape the body off the hardwood floor. I'm beyond eeked out right now. I suspected maybe there were some critters as this house is over 100 yrs old and kitty's been staring under the stove and fridge a lot so I set a few traps and didn't catch anything and doused the kitchen and bedroom with peppermint oil. I can't do poison due to the cat so if anyone knows a better way please let me know. This is one of the times I wish I wasnt a single woman, I'd rather not have had to scrape mouse guts off the floor with a dust pan!  "Fortune, honour, beauty, youth are but blossoms dying. That mess is nothing compared to you. Let kitty do her job, that is why God gave her to you in the first place, because youare a mess. Itis the bubonic plague that the fleas on the mouse carry that youhave to worry about, but all you are whining about is a little mess that kitty made that possibly has saved your worthless life. |

Problem is you are the next best thing to eat Itis rare to find mice in a civilized house/home; theyare usually in the barn/garage/outbuildings etc. There could be a sewage problem on the grounds near the home: if this is an apartmenthouse, this could be a real plague problem; especially in NewMexico. People there die of the Pneumonic Plague which is when the Bubonic gets into the lungs, which is its last stop as it runs through the body system. Thereare also, now, places on the East Coast; around the middle of the Country, and hasbeen found all the way up in Canada. This plague is one of threats being used against us "useless eaters". The fact that there are MICE in the HOUSE/HOME is a terrible danger. Plague isnot the only thing to worry about with the mice. |
