Bingo. I have a fat boy I inherited from my dad. Bought a nighttrain three years back as well. People who dont like Harley either A. never been on one, or B. Can't afford it.

Because they want a quality machine that supports jobs of people in their own country. Maybe they hope for more companies like this to pop up over time.

the japs have way better engineering and reliability. way better. they make bikes for going fast where you ride leaning forward they also make plenty of wonderful cruisers that are way more comfortable then a piece of shit harley.

Actually the new Street 500 and Street 750 are built in India. Obviously this is the exception as every other model is American made.

And contrary to many peoples beliefs that Harley makes the same thing all the time, HD is currently one of the more cutting edge motorcycle manufacturers right now. The HD Livewire all electric motorcycle is the first real attempt at an all electric from a major manufacturer.

And Im not really a Harley guy. I have a 2012 Triumph Thunderbird Storm. My bike is probably the best bang for the buck as far as serious cruisers go. The closest comparable Harley was the Wide Glide. It was $800 more, had a weaker engine, weaker brakes, smaller fuel tank, less rear suspension travel and in my opinion didnt look nearly as awesome as my TBrid Storm in flat black. It was less bike for $800 more....because it has the HD name.

The Sportster models from HD are junk and I would never ride one. The Dyna series are OK but over priced. HD's dont get real good until you get to the Softails, and in my opinion they are over priced. I would buy a Victory or Indian over an HD if I wanted to buy American. Although the Livewire looks pretty sweet.

been on them plnety of times, have family members that have them, they are douches/sheep. they dont know why they have them. ugg "marketing". i could afford it just fine, even cash. i prefer real engineering. not stupid ape hangers. I AM a motorcycle mechanic,, and trust me all the good mechanics know that harley is complete trash compared to honda and yamaha. the dif is night and day. there is no use for harleys , or fags.
